Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about these WWE released wrestlers. It’s a whole heap of ’em, more than you can shake a stick at, I reckon. They say it’s ’cause of budget cuts and such, but I tell ya, it feels like they’re just throwin’ folks out like yesterday’s garbage.
I heard tell there was a big clear-out back in 2020, when all that sickness stuff started. They let go a whole bunch then, more’n 120 fellas and gals, big names and small. Just gone, like a puff of smoke. It ain’t right, I say. These folks, they put their heart and soul into that wrestlin’.
- They train hard, ya know.
- They travel all over the place.
- They get banged up somethin’ fierce.
And then, poof! They’re out on the street. Makes ya wonder what for. They say it’s money, but these fellas bring in the crowds, don’t they? It’s them what folks pay to see. Seems to me, if you wanna make money, you gotta keep the folks that make the money happy.
Then just this past November, they did it again. Eighteen more wrestlers gone. Just like that. And then, wouldn’t ya know it, three more after that. It’s like a never-ending story of folks gettin’ the boot. I heard tell of one fella, Elias, he even made a joke about it. Said somethin’ about what WWE stands for… I ain’t sure I got it, but it sounded like he was makin’ fun of the whole situation.
I ain’t gonna lie, it makes me mad. These wrestlers, they ain’t just numbers on a spreadsheet. They’re people, with families and bills to pay. And they got dreams, ya know? Dreams of being the champion, of hearing the crowd roar their name. And then, one day, it’s all gone. Snatched away just like that.
It’s a tough business, this wrestlin’. You gotta be strong, both inside and out. You gotta be able to take a punch, both in the ring and out of it. And you gotta be able to deal with the uncertainty, the constant worry that you might be next. Next on the list of WWE released wrestlers. That’s gotta weigh heavy on a fella’s mind.
I saw some folks talkin’ online, sayin’ some of these wrestlers might show up at other events. Maybe that’s true. Maybe they’ll find a new place to wrestle, a new place to shine. I hope they do. They deserve another chance, after all they’ve given to this business. They put their bodies on the line every night, entertainin’ us folks. They deserve a little respect, a little loyalty.
But it ain’t just the wrestlers, ya know. It’s the fans too. We get attached to these folks. We cheer for them, we boo them, we follow their careers. And then, one day, they’re just… gone. It leaves a hole, ya know? Like a piece of the puzzle is missin’. And it makes ya wonder, who’s next? Who’s gonna be on that list next time around? It’s a shame, a real shame.
I don’t know all the ins and outs of this wrestlin’ business, mind you. I’m just an old gal who likes to watch a good match now and then. But I know what’s right and what’s wrong. And lettin’ go of these wrestlers like they don’t matter, that just ain’t right. They give their all, and they deserve better. They need to be treated with a little more kindness, a little more respect. After all, they’re the ones who make the show. Without them, there ain’t no WWE. And rememberin’ all those WWE released wrestlers, that’s important too. Don’t want them just disappearin’ like they never was, right?
