Alright, so I decided to pick up the battle pass in Wuthering Waves. You know, the Pioneer Podcast thing. Seemed like decent value if you play regularly, which I’ve been doing. The main draw, besides the extra materials, was definitely that weapon crate you get at level 30.

Looking at the Options
So, once I knew I was gonna hit level 30, I started actually looking hard at the weapons inside. There’s one for each weapon type, right? Sword, Broadblade, Gauntlets, Pistols, and Rectifier. Five choices.
- Sword (Emerald of Genesis): Looked okay, Crit Rate substat is always nice. Passive seemed focused on healing after using ultimate. Hmm.
- Broadblade (Autumntrace): This one had Crit Rate too. Passive buffs attack after basic or heavy attacks. Interesting for main dps characters.
- Gauntlets (Stonard): Attack % substat. Passive gives a shield and attack buff after using the Resonance Skill. Seemed kinda tanky/supportive.
- Pistols (Static Mist): Energy Regen substat. Passive boosts Resonance Liberation damage after using the skill. Good for ultimate-focused characters.
- Rectifier (Variator): Attack % substat again. Passive buffs attack after healing. Made for healers who can also dish out some damage, I guess.
Making the Choice
Now, this was the tricky part. I had to think about who I actually use. My main damage dealer right now uses a Broadblade, so Autumntrace was really tempting. That Crit Rate is just so useful for building characters, saves you some hassle with echoes.
The sword, Emerald of Genesis, also had Crit Rate, but the healing passive didn’t really fit the sword users I have or plan to build. Seemed a bit niche.
The gauntlets looked decent for someone like Jianxin maybe, but I wasn’t focusing on her right now. The pistols… energy regen is fine, but Static Mist seemed built for specific characters I wasn’t prioritizing. Same for the rectifier, Variator – Baizhi is my main healer, and while more attack is nice, I usually focus purely on her healing output.
So, it really came down to the Broadblade, Autumntrace. Crit Rate is just universally good, especially on a DPS weapon. The attack buff seemed pretty straightforward to trigger too, just hit stuff. Fits characters like Calcharo or Jiyan if you have him.
Getting and Using It
I finally hit level 30 on the pass, claimed the crate, and picked Autumntrace. No hesitation at that point. Got it equipped on my Broadblade user straight away.
Haven’t maxed it out yet, materials are always a grind, you know how it is. But even at lower levels, the Crit Rate stat bump was noticeable in my character stats. The passive feels okay, though I haven’t done hardcore testing to see the exact impact. It just feels like a solid, reliable weapon for a main dps Broadblade character. No regrets picking it up. It’s a good workhorse weapon from the battle pass.
That’s pretty much my process. Just looked at what I needed most for the characters I actually play. Seems like the most practical way to go about it.
