Okay, so I saw this “Space Race Tournament” thing pop up in Monopoly Go and figured, why not? I’ve been playing pretty casually, just rolling dice whenever I have some free time. I wasn’t really planning on going hard, but the rewards looked kinda tempting.
First thing I did was check out the tournament details. You know, see what I was getting myself into. It seemed like the usual deal – land on certain tiles, get points, climb the leaderboard. The key tiles this time were the Railroads. Gotta love those!
I started playing my usual way, just rolling when my dice refilled. I wasn’t really paying attention to the tournament at first. Just kinda going through the motions, building my landmarks, completing my daily tasks and stuff.
Then I noticed I was actually racking up some points! I landed on a few railroads by chance, and suddenly I was like, “Hey, I’m not doing too bad!” That’s when I decided to actually try.
I started being a little more strategic. Instead of just rolling whenever, I waited until I had a decent amount of dice. Then I would use a higher multiplier, like x5 or x10 when it felt good, hoping to land on those railroads. This is risky, of course, because you can burn through your dice super fast. But when it works, it really works.
My “Strategy” (If You Can Call It That)
- Save up dice: Don’t just roll immediately. Wait until you have at least 30-50.
- Use multipliers wisely: When you’re close to a railroad, crank it up! But be careful not to go broke.
- Pay attention to the board: Sometimes you can see a pattern of where you are rolling, so time it with where you see a Railroad tile.
- Don’t get discouraged: You’ll have good rolls and bad rolls. Just keep going!
I didn’t hit every railroad, obviously. There were times I’d use a x10 multiplier and land on, like, a Chance card that sent me to jail. Frustrating! But then other times, I’d hit two railroads in a row with a high multiplier and my points would skyrocket! It’s all a gamble, really.
I kept playing like this for the rest of the tournament. I didn’t go completely crazy, but I definitely played more than usual. I even set a few alarms on my phone to remind me to roll when my dice were full.
In the end, I didn’t win the whole thing, not even close,haha. But I did pretty well! I got a bunch of extra dice, some cash, and even a new token. I definitely got better rewards than I usually do, so I’d say it was worth the effort.
Would I do it again? Probably! It was kind of fun having a goal to work towards. Plus, free stuff is always nice. Just remember, it’s all about luck in the end. Don’t spend any real money, and just have fun with it!
