Okay, so here’s the deal, I messed around with figuring out randy rutschman and wanted to kinda document how I did it, so I can, ya know, remember next time.

First off, I started with absolutely nothing, just the name, “randy rutschman”. So, the obvious thing to do was just Google it. I mean, duh, right? I saw a bunch of baseball stats stuff. Figured he was probably a baseball player.
Digging Deeper:
Then I started digging a bit more. I looked at Baseball-Reference, the main site for baseball nerds. Saw Randy Rutschman there. That’s how I knew. I was like, “Aha! A real baseball player exists”.
I then tried to see how much I can push things, so I decided to check out if I can find a baseball card. Did a quick search for randy rutschman baseball cards, and bam, got some hits on eBay and COMC. Cool!
I went to his Baseball-Reference page and started clicking around. Looked at his stats, his teams, all that jazz. I was trying to get a feel for who he was as a player, what kind of career he had.
- Checked his stats (batting average, home runs, etc.)
- Looked at the teams he played for
- Tried to get a sense of his career trajectory
Then I started going down a rabbit hole of old interviews and articles I could find. Most of it was just basic baseball stuff, but I was trying to find anything interesting or unique about him.
Honestly, it wasn’t rocket science, just a lot of clicking and reading. But it was cool to learn a bit about a baseball player I knew nothing about before. Definitely a fun way to kill an afternoon if you’re bored. So that’s it, nothing much.
