Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to talk about this for a while now. I’m a huge WWE fan, and Randy Orton is one of my all-time favorites. You know what really gets me pumped? His entrance music, “Voices.” I decided to dig a little deeper into it and thought I’d share my findings with y’all.
So, I started by hitting up YouTube, naturally. I searched for “Randy Orton – Voices (Entrance Theme 2024)” and found a bunch of videos. I watched a few, just to get a feel for it, and man, it still gives me goosebumps.
Next, I wanted to know more about the song itself. I learned that it’s by a band called Rev Theory. Apparently, Orton started using “Voices” way back in May 2008. Can you believe it’s been that long? Time flies when you’re RKOing people out of nowhere!
I stumbled upon an interview with Orton, by Graham ‘GSM’ Matthews, and guess what? Orton himself wasn’t the biggest fan of “Voices” initially! I mean, I love the song, it’s very awesome, but it’s interesting to hear that he wasn’t completely sold on it at first. But eventually he loved it.
Then I started going down the rabbit hole of Orton’s previous theme songs. Did you know he used a song called “Burn In My Light” before “Voices”? I found out he started using it in 2004 after leaving Evolution. And that was his 4th entrance theme song. This song was associated with his “Legend Killer” gimmick. Pretty cool, right? But I am very glad he finally found his best theme song now.
I also learned that before “Burn In My Light,” he used a theme called “Blasting,” which was composed by Jim Johnston, the guy behind so many iconic WWE themes. But I think this theme song is not that great. Just so so.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I found:
- Randy Orton’s current theme song is “Voices” by Rev Theory.
- He started using it in May 2008.
- Before “Voices,” he used “Burn In My Light” from 2004 to 2008.
- “Burn In My Light” was associated with his “Legend Killer” gimmick.
- He also used a theme called “Blasting” by Jim Johnston before that.
In Conclusion
So yeah, that’s my little deep dive into Randy Orton’s theme music. I love geeking out about this stuff. It’s amazing how a simple song can become such an integral part of a wrestler’s persona. “Voices” is just perfect for Orton. It’s dark, it’s intense, and it gets the crowd hyped. Every time I heard it, I know something great is gonna happen. What do you guys think? Are you as big a fan of “Voices” as I am? Let me know in the comments!
