Alright, so today I wanted to dig into something I’ve been curious about: Michael Porter Jr.’s wingspan. I mean, we all see him on the court, but I wanted to get a real sense of just how long this guy’s arms are.

Getting Started
First, I hit up Google. Just a simple search, you know, “Michael Porter Jr. wingspan.” I figured I’d find some quick stats, maybe an article or two.
The Deep Dive
The first few results popped up with the usual numbers – 7’0″ wingspan. Okay, cool. But I wanted more. I started clicking through different articles, reading about his pre-draft measurements, and looking at photos.
Visualize it
Next step: I wanted to see it.
- I grabbed a tape measure.
- I stood with my arms out, trying to get a feel for what 7 feet really looks like. It’s LONG.
- I even marked it out on the wall with some tape, just to get a visual.
Putting It All Together
After all that, I’ve got a much better appreciation for MPJ’s wingspan. It’s not just a number anymore. I can picture how he uses that length on the court, to shoot over defenders, grab rebounds, and disrupt passing lanes. It is really long!
