Alright, so the big talk was all about Oscar Valdez and Emanuel Navarrete getting ready to punch on. Big fight, right? Everyone was hyped for that main event. But me, I always get kinda curious about the guys fighting earlier, the undercard crew. Sometimes you spot someone interesting before they get huge.

So, I figured I’d make an effort this time. Saturday rolls around, I get myself set up. Got the snacks, you know how it is. Then comes the fun part – actually trying to find the undercard fights. It ain’t always straightforward like the main event they blast everywhere.
I started digging around online. Checked the usual spots, some forums, trying to figure out who was fighting and when exactly they’d be on. Took me a bit, information wasn’t just laid out nice and neat. It’s always like a bit of detective work finding the full schedule and where to watch the early stuff.
Finding the Fights
Then the hunt for a stream began. Man, that was a journey. Felt like I was back in the dial-up days trying to get one song downloaded. Clicked on a bunch of links, some looked sketchy as hell, others just didn’t work. Pop-ups everywhere. You know the drill. It’s a real pain sometimes, just wanting to watch some boxing without signing your life away or getting a virus.
Eventually, I landed on something that seemed to work. Kinda. The picture wasn’t exactly HD, more like watching through a dirty windowpane. And it kept freezing. Typical. Just as you get into a round, boom, buffering.
- Tried a couple different sources.
- One had commentary in a language I didn’t understand at all.
- Another one just cut out completely after a few minutes.
I did manage to catch some of that Richard Torrez Jr. guy. Heavyweight kid. Looks like he can bang a bit, saw him get his knockout. That was pretty decent. Think I saw parts of Lindolfo Delgado’s fight too, slick boxer.
But honestly? Most of my time felt like I was wrestling with the technology instead of watching the fights. Fiddling with the stream, refreshing the page, closing annoying ads. It kinda takes you out of it. You spend all this effort just to get a glimpse, and half the time it’s interrupted.
Was it Worth It?
By the time the main event was getting closer, I was already a bit tired of the whole process. It makes you wonder, you know? They want people to get into boxing, support the fighters, but they make it so damn hard to actually watch the guys who aren’t headlining. Feels like they only push the big money fight and forget about the rest.
Managed to get a stable stream sorted just before Valdez and Navarrete walked out, thankfully. That fight delivered, proper scrap. But yeah, the undercard experience? It was mostly me battling dodgy websites. Still, saw a couple of potential future names, so maybe it wasn’t a total waste of time. Just wish it was easier, you know?
