So, I was messing around with this game, Cyberpunk 2077, and I wanted to figure out how to make time pass in the game. You know, like when you need to wait for a specific time to start a mission or something.
First, I just started hitting buttons, hoping to stumble upon something. I tried the ‘I’ key on my keyboard, since that usually opens up some kind of inventory or menu in games. I also tried the view button on my Xbox controller because why not, right?
Then I did a little digging online and found out there are actually a few ways to do this “wait” thing. One way is to just pause the game. Apparently, if you hit the pause button, time freezes. That’s kind of obvious, but not exactly what I was looking for.
Another thing I found was that you can just press the Escape key on PC or the P button on Xbox. This pauses the game, but I want to make time go faster, not stop.
- Then I found this neat little trick. Someone mentioned that if you press the SPACE bar, it’s like a fast-forward button for the wait timer. That’s pretty cool, but it only works if you’re already in the waiting mode.
- Also, someone said that in some cases you can just skip waiting entirely, like when your character is healing. That would be nice, but I couldn’t get it to work every time.
Finally, I found the real way to do it. If you press ‘I’ on the keyboard, or the view button on the Xbox controller, or the touchpad on a PS controller, it brings up the game’s menu. Then, in the bottom left corner, you can see the time of day. And guess what? Right beside it, there’s a “Skip Time” option! You just click on that, and you can choose how many hours you want to skip ahead. It’s that easy!
There are also these things called “Lifepaths” in the game. There are three: Nomad, Street Kid, and Corpo. It’s basically like choosing a background story for your character. I picked Nomad because it sounded cool. It changes where you start in the game and the first few missions you do.
Oh, and one more thing. I read that there are a few missions in the game that have a time limit. Like, if you don’t do them fast enough, bad stuff can happen. I found one called “Fortunate Son” where you can actually lose a character forever if you take too long. Good thing I finished it quickly! It’s not a good thing to wait too long on that quest.
Anyway, that’s how I figured out how to wait in Cyberpunk 2077. It took a bit of trial and error, but I got there in the end. Hope this helps someone out there who’s as confused as I was!
