Okay, let’s talk about this Jonah Heim headband thing. It started pretty simply, really. I was watching a Rangers game, you know, just relaxing, and I noticed Heim’s headband. It wasn’t flashy or anything, just looked like a solid, no-nonsense piece of gear.

So I thought, hey, that looks comfortable and practical. I could use something like that myself, maybe for working out or just keeping my hair back when I’m doing stuff around the house. Seemed simple enough, right? Just find a similar headband.
Well, that’s where the fun started. First stop, the internet, obviously. Typed in the basics: “Jonah Heim headband,” “Rangers catcher headband,” stuff like that. You get a ton of results, mostly just generic athletic headbands. Lots of brands, lots of styles, but nothing that screamed “That’s the one!“
Digging a Bit Deeper
I spent probably more time than I should have scrolling through sports apparel sites. You know how it is, you start looking for one thing, and then suddenly you’re comparing moisture-wicking fabrics and elasticity levels. It gets kinda ridiculous.
I even tried looking at close-up photos from games, trying to see if there was a logo or some distinguishing mark. No luck. It just looked like a plain, maybe black or dark blue, slightly wide cloth headband. The kind you’d think would be everywhere.
- Checked the official MLB shop.
- Looked at major sports brands directly.
- Scoured some fan forums to see if anyone else had identified it.
Found a lot of discussion, actually. Seems I wasn’t the only one curious. People guessing brands, some saying it might be custom, others saying it’s probably just some cheap generic thing he picked up somewhere. No definitive answer.
It kind of reminded me of trying to find a specific tool I saw someone use once. You know exactly what it looks like, but finding the exact model or brand can turn into a whole project. Frustrating, but also kinda funny.
Giving Up (Sort Of)
After a while, I just decided it wasn’t worth the deep dive. It’s a headband. So, I went down to a local sporting goods store. Found a pack of simple, black cotton stretch headbands. Not identical, probably. But comfortable? Yeah. Do they keep sweat out of my eyes? Yep.
So, I got those. Been using them quite a bit, actually. They work just fine. It’s not the exact Jonah Heim headband, but honestly, who cares? It does the job I wanted it for.

It’s just one of those things, I guess. You see something, it catches your eye, you get a little fixated on finding it. But in the end, a simple, practical solution was right there all along. Still respect Heim’s game though, headband or not.
