Okay, so I went to the Masters, and let me tell you, getting pictures there is a whole thing. First off, you can’t just whip out your phone and start snapping pics whenever you feel like it – no phones allowed on the course! But, there’s a way around it if you know where to look.
So, I headed over near the first hole, and what do you know, there’s this big line. Turns out, it’s the line to get your picture taken. Yeah, that’s right, they have a dedicated spot for photos. I waited in line like everyone else, and when it was my turn, they took a pretty decent shot of me. They handed me a card that had a QR code and website link, I thought that I could download it from there, but you know what? I have lost it, so I don’t have a picture to remember that day…
I also wanted to get some good shots of the action, so I had to be a bit sneaky. I tried to remember the relationship between shutter speed, aperture, and ISO settings. I knew that if I was in a darker spot, I couldn’t use a small aperture and a fast shutter speed at the same time, or my pictures would be too dark. It was a bit tricky, but I managed to get a few decent shots without getting caught by the staff.
- I made sure to check out the old-fashioned leaderboards – they’re super iconic, so I definitely wanted a picture of those.
- Also, I heard the food there is a must-try. I had this peach ice cream sandwich, and oh boy, it was something else. Totally worth it.
All in all, it was a fun experience, trying to capture the day without getting into trouble. I’d say, if you’re going, be prepared for the picture rules, and definitely don’t miss out on the peach ice cream!
