Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of talk online about Vitor Belfort and his whole TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) journey. I mean, the guy’s a legend in the MMA world, right? But it’s kind of crazy to see the difference in his physique before and after he started using TRT. I decided to try and get on TRT myself.
First things first, I had to figure out if I even qualified. This meant going to a doctor and getting some blood work done. I found this clinic that specialized in hormone therapy, and booked an appointment. The doctor was super chill and explained everything to me. Basically, they needed to check my testosterone levels to see if they were below the “normal” range. Turns out, my T-levels were a bit low, which made me a good candidate for TRT.
Getting Started with TRT
Once I got the green light, it was time to start the treatment. The doctor prescribed me testosterone cypionate, which is a common type of TRT. I had to inject it myself, which was a little intimidating at first. But, honestly, it wasn’t that bad. The first couple of times, I was a bit shaky, but you get used to it. It’s like giving myself a little shot in the thigh or butt every week.
- Week 1-4: Didn’t feel much different, to be honest. Maybe a slight increase in energy, but nothing crazy.
- Week 5-8: Okay, now we’re talking! I started noticing some real changes. My workouts were getting better. I could lift heavier and train longer without feeling as tired. It was like my body was recovering faster.
- Week 9-12: This is where things got interesting. My muscles started looking fuller and more defined. I was definitely gaining strength at a faster rate than before. Even my mood improved. I felt more confident and focused.
Before and After: The Big Difference
Now, I’m not saying TRT is a magic bullet. You still gotta put in the work at the gym and eat right. But, for me, it definitely made a noticeable difference. Before I started, I was around 190 pounds with a decent amount of muscle, but I was having a lot of joint pain when working out and my gains had kind of plateaued. After a few months of TRT, I’m up to 205 pounds, and I’m way leaner. My muscles are popping, and I feel like I’m in my 20s again.
Long-term Effects
I knew going in that there could be some side effects with TRT. Some guys experience things like acne, hair loss, or even mood swings. I haven’t had any major issues, but I did get a little bit of acne on my back. Nothing too crazy, though. The doctor is monitoring my blood work regularly to make sure everything is in check. I heard that it might affect my body’s ability to produce testosterone naturally, so I might have to be on TRT for the long haul. But honestly, the way I feel now, it’s worth it.
So, yeah, that’s my TRT journey so far. It’s been a positive experience for me, and I’m excited to see how things progress. Just remember, everyone’s different, and what worked for me might not work for you. If you’re thinking about TRT, talk to a doctor and get all the info before making a decision. But like seriously, the difference in Vitor before and after TRT is insane, and now I know why! I feel great!
