Alright, let’s talk about this next EA FC promo, you know, the one them youngsters keep jabberin’ about. I heard some things, seen some things, and I’m gonna tell ya all about it, the way I understand it, mind you, no fancy talk.
First off, they’re callin’ it somethin’ fancy, somethin’ like “Ultimate Succession”, yeah, that’s it. Sounds like a big deal, like them soap operas on the TV. They say it’s gonna start on Friday, December 6, 2024. Now, I don’t rightly know what a “GMT” is, but they said it’s 6 PM for them folks over there. For us here, it’s 1 PM, you know, lunchtime. And if you’re out west, where the sun sets later, it’s 10 AM. So, mark your calendars, if you care about this kinda stuff.
Now, what’s this “Ultimate Succession” all about? Well, from what I gather, it’s about them football players, you know, the ones kickin’ the ball around. Seems like they’re changin’ things up, passin’ the torch, or somethin’ like that. They got new players, young fellas tryin’ to make a name for themselves. And they got old players, the ones who’ve been around the block, tryin’ to hold on to their spot. It’s like life, ain’t it? Always changin’, always movin’ on.

Then there’s another one, they call it the “Globetrotters”. Sounds like them fellas who travel all over, playin’ basketball. But this is about football, mind you. This one starts a week later, on Friday, December 13. Same time, 6 PM for them GMT folks, 1 PM for us, and 10 AM for them out west. They didn’t tell me much about this one, but I reckon it’s got somethin’ to do with players from all over the world, comin’ together to play.
I tell ya, these young folks and their games, they got so much goin’ on, it’s hard to keep up. But I try, I listen, I ask questions. And from what I hear, these promos, they got special cards, you know, like them baseball cards the kids used to collect. But these cards, they make your players better in the game. Some cards are better than others, of course. It’s all a big ol’ gamble, if you ask me. You spend your money, you try your luck, and you hope you get somethin’ good.
And the packs! Oh, them packs! That’s where they get ya. You buy a pack, and you don’t know what you gonna get. It could be a good player, it could be a bad player. It’s like openin’ a Christmas present, only sometimes you get coal. But the youngsters, they love it. They get all excited, openin’ them packs, hopin’ to get that one special player, that one card that’ll make their team unbeatable.
EA FC 25 Globetrotters, that’s what they call it. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? But it’s just another way for them to make money, I reckon. They get you hooked on the game, then they get you hooked on the packs. And you keep spendin’ and spendin’, hopin’ to get that perfect team. It’s like a dog chasin’ its tail, never quite catchin’ it.
I ain’t sayin’ it’s bad, mind you. If it makes them happy, let ‘em play. But I just don’t understand it. Back in my day, we played outside, with a real ball, on a real field. We didn’t need no fancy cards or packs. We just needed a ball and some friends. But times change, I guess. And the youngsters, they got their ways, and we got ours.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about this next EA FC promo. “Ultimate Succession” startin’ December 6, and “Globetrotters” startin’ December 13. Same times, different names. Probably the same game, if you ask me. Just a bunch of players kickin’ a ball around, and a bunch of folks spendin’ money on packs. But hey, that’s just my two cents. You young’uns go do what you want.
