Alright, let’s talk about this Triston Casas fella. Heard some folks jabberin’ about him, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, you know? Don’t know much ’bout baseball, but I know a good egg when I see one.
So, this Triston Casas, they say he plays first base for that Boston Red Sox team. Boston Red Sox, eh? Sounds fancy. Never been to Boston, but I hear it’s a big city. Anyway, this boy, Triston, they say he’s a real good hitter. Hits the ball hard, they say. Reminds me of my grandson, little Timmy, used to whack them rocks with a stick somethin’ fierce.
Now, some fella named Eric Hosmer, he won some World Series thingy, he says Triston’s a “foundational star.” That’s a mouthful, ain’t it? Means he’s important, I reckon. Like the foundation of a house, gotta be strong and steady. Hosmer, he saw Triston up close last year, in 2022, and he knows what he’s talkin’ ’bout, I guess.
- They say Triston’s a slugger. That means he hits them balls far, real far, like outta the park far. Good for him, I say. Nothing like a good ol’ whack to get the crowd goin’.
- And he’s patient, too. That’s what they say. Not like those young whippersnappers always swingin’ at everything. He waits for the right pitch, you see. Smart boy, this Triston.
Folks are callin’ him one of the most hyped-up players for the Red Sox in a long time. Hyped-up, that means they’re all excited ’bout him, expectin’ big things. He was born on January 15th, don’t know what year, but they got all this information on the internet these days. Crazy, ain’t it? All this stuff at your fingertips.
Now, they got this thing called Red Sox Nation. That’s what they call all the fans of the team. Sounds like a whole lotta folks cheerin’ for Triston and the rest of them boys. And this Boston Red Sox team, they been around a long time, since 1901 they say. That’s older than my grandma, bless her soul.
This Triston boy, he’s got skills, they tell me. A rare combination, they say. In baseball, seems like you gotta hit the ball far and you gotta be patient. Triston, he does both. That’s what makes him special, I figure. Like a good cook, gotta know when to add the spice and when to let it simmer.
They also mentioned somethin’ ‘bout Triston not wanting to be called a leader. He’s hesitant, they said. Well, maybe he’s just a quiet fella, doesn’t like to brag. Some folks are like that, you know? Do their job, don’t make a fuss. Just like my old man, always workin’ hard, never complainin’. He was a good fella, my old man.
He has a hitting coach named Justin Leger. I don’t know much about this Justin fella, but I reckon he’s teachin’ Triston all the right moves. Gotta have a good teacher, you know? Like learnin’ to bake a pie, gotta have someone to show you the ropes.
So, that’s all I know about this Triston Casas fella. Sounds like a good boy, this Triston Ray Casas. Plays baseball for the Boston Red Sox, hits the ball hard, and got folks all excited. Hope he does well, I do. Nothin’ like seein’ a young fella make somethin’ of himself. Reminds me of my own kids, growin’ up strong and makin’ me proud. Good luck to ya, Triston, wherever you are.
