I ended up looking at some season records, you know, to see how they’ve been doing overall, not just the Super Bowl stuff. I found this site that lists all their seasons, from 1960 to 2024. Let me tell you, it’s a long list. Their overall record is 569 wins, 423 losses, and 6 ties. Not too shabby, right? But the playoff record is a bit more mixed – 36 wins and 31 losses.
Then I started going through their playoff games in recent years. Just to see the pattern, you know? They lost in the Wild Card game on January 14, 2024. Bummer. But they won the Wild Card game the year before, on January 16, 2023. Then, in the Divisional round on January 22, 2023, they lost again. And going back further, they lost the Wild Card game on January 16, you know?
From looking at the history, I saw that the Cowboys have made it to the Super Bowl eight times. They’ve won five of those appearances, which is awesome! Those wins were in Super Bowl VI, XII, XXVII, XXVIII, and XXX.
