Alright, let me tell you about this “grace cheris” thing I’ve been messing around with. It’s been a journey, I tell ya.
So, it all started last week. I was just chilling, browsing the web, and stumbled upon some stuff about creating these, uh, stylized images. Looked kinda cool, like those fancy art pieces you see online. I thought, “Hey, I can probably do that.” Famous last words, right?
First thing I did was download a bunch of software. I needed some image editing thingy, and something else for, like, layering effects. Honestly, I just Googled “best free image editors” and went with whatever looked least confusing. Turns out, they’re all kinda confusing at first.
Then I grabbed a picture of my dog, Buster. He’s a good boy, and I figured his goofy face would be a good test subject. I imported his picture into the image editor and started messing around. This is where things got interesting… and frustrating.
I spent, I kid you not, a solid three hours trying to figure out how to isolate Buster from the background. The tutorials made it look so easy! “Just click here, click there, and boom!” Yeah, right. More like click here, click there, accidentally select your entire desk, and undo everything. Eventually, I got it, but my hand was cramping like crazy.
After that, I started experimenting with different filters and effects. There were so many options! Sepia, black and white, watercolor, oil painting… I tried them all. Buster went from looking like a regular dog to looking like something out of a weird dream. It was hilarious.
Next up was the “cheris” part. This involved adding, like, little details and highlights to the image. I used a drawing tool to add some sparkly effects around Buster’s eyes and nose. I also messed with the color balance to give the whole picture a more vibrant feel. This part was actually kinda fun, once I got the hang of the drawing tool.
Finally, I added a background. I found a cool texture online and layered it behind Buster. I messed with the opacity and blending modes until it looked just right. It took a lot of tweaking, but I was pretty happy with the result. It looked like Buster was standing in front of some kind of alien landscape.
The whole process took me about six hours, spread over two days. It was way more complicated than I thought it would be. But, hey, I learned a lot, and I ended up with a pretty cool picture of my dog. I even printed it out and stuck it on my fridge. Now Buster gets to look at himself all day.
