Alright, alright, let’s gab a bit about these golf fellas, the ones you see on TV swattin’ them balls. You know, the fancy pants ones. Turns out, some of ’em got them… whatchamacallits… tattoos! Yeah, them ink things. Didn’t think them goody-two-shoes types would be into that, but hey, times are changin’, I guess.
Professional Golfers with Tattoos, that’s what we’re talkin’ ’bout. Now, don’t get me wrong, it ain’t like every single one of them golfers is covered head to toe in tattoos. Nah, it’s more like a few here and there. Like sprinkles on a cake, you know?
Take this fella, Max Homa, for instance. Heard tell he’s got “Relentless” written right there on his wrist. Reckon that means he don’t give up easy. Stubborn, like my old mule, bless his heart. Then there’s Bubba Watson, sweet man, he’s got his wife’s name, Angie, on his finger. That’s kinda nice, shows he’s thinkin’ ’bout his missus even when he’s out there hittin’ them balls.
- Max Homa: “Relentless” on his wrist. Means he’s a fighter, I s’pose.
- Bubba Watson: Got his wife, Angie’s, name on his ring finger. Sweet, ain’t it?
- Justin Thomas: He’s got a little somethin’ on his arm, for his family. Three lines, like a lil’ fence, and a “T” on top. For Thomas, see? Clever.
- Rickie Fowler: This one’s got a few. An “F” for his last name, and somethin’ in Japanese for his grandpa. Fancy.
Now, this Matthieu Pavon fella, he’s from France, you know, where they eat them snails and stuff. He won one of them big golf thingies, and folks were all a-buzz ’cause he’s got writin’ on his hand. Says somethin’ ’bout “sweat now, tears later” or somethin’ like that. Sounds like hard work, that golfin’ business.
And Boo Weekley, bless his heart, he’s got sleeves of tattoos on both arms! Now that’s a sight to see. Guess he really likes them ink things. Don’t know what they all mean, but he seems like a good ol’ boy.
It used to be that golfers were all clean-cut and proper, like they just stepped out of a church. But things are different now. You see more and more of ’em with them tattoos. Tattoos in Professional Golf ain’t such a big deal anymore.
Some folks might not like it, sayin’ it ain’t proper for golfers to have tattoos. But I say, to each their own. If them fellas wanna put pictures on their skin, that’s their business. Long as they keep hittin’ them balls straight and winnin’ them tournaments, I don’t care if they got tattoos from their head to their toes.
It makes you wonder, though, if there’s more golfers with tattoos that we just don’t see. Maybe they’re hidin’ ’em under their fancy golf shirts and pants. You know, trying to keep up appearances and all that. But more and more are showin’ ’em off, seems like. Maybe they’re gettin’ bolder or maybe folks are just gettin’ used to it.
Anyways, it’s kinda interestin’, ain’t it? To see these golfers, who are supposed to be all proper and polite, with these tattoos. It just goes to show you that everyone’s got their own way of expressin’ themselves, even them fancy pants golfers. And let me tell you, hitting that little ball ain’t easy, maybe them tattoos give them some kind of strength, like a good luck charm or something. You never know.
So next time you’re watchin’ them golfers on TV, take a closer look. You might be surprised at what you see. Maybe you’ll spot a tattoo or two.
