Okay, here’s my experience with the Spider Tour Black putter, told in a casual, blog-style format:

So, I finally caved and got myself a Spider Tour Black putter. I’d been seeing these things everywhere, and, well, my putting has been, let’s just say, “inconsistent” lately. I needed a change, a refresh and I choose this one!
My First Impressions
First thing I did was take it out of the box and just hold it. The weight felt good. Not too heavy, not too light, just… solid. I really dig the all-black finish too. It looks sleek and mean.
Taking It to the Practice Green
I was itching to try it, I headed straight to the practice green. The first few putts, I’ll admit, felt a little weird. The alignment aid, that big white line, was definitely different from what I was used to. But I kept at it, rolling putt after putt.
- Started with some short ones, maybe 3-4 feet. Just trying to get a feel for the face and the roll.
- Then I moved back to about 10 feet. This is where I really started to notice the difference. The ball just seemed to roll smoother, more consistently off the face.
- Finally, I tackled some long lag putts, 20-30 feet. Honestly, I was surprised. My distance control felt way better than usual.
It have a big white line, and it’s different from my old one. I have been practice, rolling and rolling
The Real Test: On the Course
Practice is one thing, but the real test is on the course. So, I took the Spider out for a full round. And… I was impressed. I won’t say I magically became a putting god, but I definitely felt more confident. I made a couple of tricky 6-footers that I probably would have missed before. My lag putting was also noticeably better, leaving me with shorter second putts.
Final Thoughts (For Now)
It’s still early days, but I’m really liking the Spider Tour Black. It’s given me a boost in confidence, and my putting stroke feels smoother and more controlled. I think that my choice is really a good one, I’m excited to keep using it and see if I can shave a few more strokes off my scores!
Will continue use it and get better scores, I hope.
