Okay, let’s talk about this “smith njigba fantasy” thing. So, I got into this whole fantasy football mess this season, right? And like everyone else, I was digging around, trying to find those hidden gems, you know, the players that nobody’s really talking about but could totally blow up.
Well, I stumbled upon this guy, Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Seahawks, wide receiver. Everyone was hyping him up before the season started, calling him the best receiver in the draft. I did some reading, saw some highlights. He looked pretty good, I gotta admit. Seemed like he’d fit right in with the Seattle offense, which was supposed to be awesome.
So, I jumped on him. Drafted him, feeling pretty good about it. Thought I had a steal on my hands. Early on, it wasn’t great. A few catches here, a few yards there. Nothing to write home about. But I kept the faith, figured he just needed some time to adjust to the NFL, you know?
I kept starting him, hoping for that breakout game. Checking the stats after every game, a little disappointed each time. He was getting some targets, but just wasn’t producing like I thought he would. I mean, he’s not been bad, but not been great.
- He has got 101.7 fantasy points.
- It seems he will be matching up with the 22nd-ranked passing defense of the Green Bay Packers.
- He is in 12th among WRs through 11 games.
Here is what I’ve got out of him so far:
Then, I started reading these articles, these “fantasy experts” talking about how he was a “post-hype target.” Basically saying that everyone was excited about him before the season, but now that he hasn’t exploded, people are sleeping on him again, which could make him valuable. Kind of ironic, right?
So, I’m holding onto him for now. Still have a little hope, I guess. Maybe he’ll turn it around. Or maybe I’m just stubborn and don’t want to admit I made a bad pick. Either way, that’s my Jaxon Smith-Njigba story. It hasn’t been the fantasy dream I was hoping for, but hey, that’s how it goes sometimes. You win some, you lose some. And sometimes, you just end up with a guy who’s kind of just… there. Maybe next year, right? Anyway, that’s my experience with this fantasy thing. It’s a wild ride.
