Alright, so you wanna know about them glider thingy maps, huh? Them Gliderskin maps, yeah? Well, listen up, ‘cause I’m gonna tell ya what I know, no fancy talk, just plain and simple.
First off, you gotta get yourself one of these maps. Now, where do ya find ‘em? They say you gotta dig ‘em up. Dig ‘em up! Imagine that. They say you gotta finish some kinda “Treasure and Tribulations” thingy first. Sounds like a whole lotta trouble if ya ask me. But hey, if you want that treasure, you gotta do what ya gotta do, right?
Anyways, once you get that done, you can start diggin’ for maps. They say you can only dig up one every 18 hours. That’s a long time, ain’t it? Guess you gotta be patient. Like waitin’ for the cows to come home, only slower.
So, you got your map, all old and worn-out lookin’. Now what? Well, you gotta “decipher” it. Decipher! Sounds complicated, but it just means you gotta figure out where the treasure is. They say the map shows a little square of some place, one of them Endwalker zones, they call ‘em. And there’s a red X on it. That’s where the treasure is, see? X marks the spot, just like in them pirate movies.
- Get the “Treasure and Tribulations” thing done
- Dig up a map (only one every 18 hours!)
- Decipher the map to find the treasure spot
Now, some folks say there’s different kinds of maps, like Br’aaxskin maps and Zonureskin maps. Don’t ask me what that means. Sounds like gibberish to me. But they say you get ‘em from different places. Them Br’aaxskin ones, they say you can get ‘em from gatherin’ nodes in Dawntrail. Near some place called Mehwahhetsoan, they say. Sounds far away, if you ask me.
And then there’s them other maps, the Zonureskin ones. Seems like you get a lot of them if you’re gatherin’ in them SHB zones. Whatever that is. Folks are always complainin’ about gettin’ too many of one kind and not enough of the other. Seems like nothin’s ever easy, is it?
Some folks are sayin’ they got stacks of maps, just pilin’ up. And they can’t figure out where the treasure is on some of ‘em. Been stuck for weeks, they say. Poor things. I tell ya, this treasure huntin’ ain’t for the faint of heart.
And some of these maps, they ain’t easy to read. They say some are “well-defined,” but others… well, good luck with that. Seems like you need a real good eye to figure some of ‘em out. And they have this “risk-reward grade 11” thingy. Sounds dangerous. Like, maybe there’s a grumpy badger guardin’ the treasure or somethin’.
So, if you’re lookin’ for treasure, you gotta be patient, you gotta be persistent, and you gotta have a good eye. And maybe a little bit of luck wouldn’t hurt neither. ‘Cause findin’ treasure ain’t like findin’ a chicken egg in the barn, that’s for sure. It’s a whole lot harder than that.
And don’t forget, they say you gotta use that “Decipher” skill. Sounds like magic to me. But I guess that’s how you turn that old, worn-out map into somethin’ useful. Somethin’ that’ll lead ya to that treasure.
So, that’s all I know about them Gliderskin maps. Hope it helps ya find your treasure. And if ya find anythin’ good, don’t forget about ol’… uh, don’t forget about me! I like shiny things, ya know.
