So, the other day I stumbled upon this thing called “Rutschman,” and I was like, “What the heck is that?” Turns out, it’s about some baseball player, Adley Rutschman. I’m not a huge baseball fan, but the name kept popping up, so I decided to dig in.

First, I just Googled the name, plain and simple. You know, see what the internet had to offer. I got a bunch of articles, stats, and videos. Okay, so this guy is a catcher for the Baltimore Orioles. Got it.
Next, I skimmed through some of those articles. I wasn’t trying to become an expert, just get the general idea. I learned he was a top prospect, drafted number one overall, and people were saying he’s pretty good.
- Checked out some highlight videos on YouTube. Gotta see the guy in action, right?
- Saw some impressive catches, some home runs. Okay, the dude’s got skills.
- Noticed a lot of people talking about his “switch-hitting” ability. That means he can bat from both sides of the plate. Fancy.
Then, I looked at some of his stats. I’m not gonna lie, a lot of it was gibberish to me – batting average, home runs, RBIs. I mean, I get the basics, but some of the advanced stuff is way over my head.
Getting Deeper (Sort Of)
After that, I felt like I had a decent grasp of who this Rutschman guy is. I mean, I’m not about to join a fantasy baseball league or anything, but I can hold my own in a conversation about him now. I can say things like, “Yeah, Rutschman, he’s a rising star,” or “Heard he’s got a great arm.” See? I sound like I know what I’m talking about.
So, that’s my Rutschman journey. Started with a simple question, ended up with a basic understanding of a baseball player. That’s the internet for you – always something new to learn, even if you’re not really trying.
