Okay, so I was messing around with crosswords today, and I got stuck on this one clue: “record holder.” I was like, “What could it be?” My mind was racing through all sorts of possibilities, you know, like athletes, musicians, maybe even some weird Guinness World Record thing.
Brainstorming Time
I started by listing out some things that I know can hold my record things:
- Athlete? Maybe, but that seemed too broad.
- Musician? Could be, like someone with the most albums sold.
- Guinness World Record? Potentially, but there are so many!
I needed to try a word game to solve it.
Then, because I do a lot of crosswords, I thought about common crossword answers. And it hit me! It’s probably something super simple. So, it might be “SLEEVE”. You know, like a record sleeve?
Checking My Guess
I looked up the crossword clue online, just to see if there were any hints. Guess what? “SLEEVE” was listed as the most likely solution, with six letters. Six letters! I’m proud of myself.
The “Aha!” Moment
It’s always that way, right? The answer is usually something staring you right in the face. I was so focused on people who hold records that I totally forgot about objects that literally hold records.
