Okay, so I saw this “short nyt” thing floating around and figured, “Why not?” I’m always up for a challenge, and frankly, I was getting a little bored with my usual routine.

First, I had to figure out what I was even dealing with. I’m not a super crossword person normally. I mean I can fill the easy ones, but it’s not my habbit. I did some digging, found the puzzle, and… yeah, it looked tiny. Like, intimidatingly tiny.
I started by just staring at it. Seriously. No shame in admitting that. I needed to get a feel for the clues, see if anything jumped out at me. Some of them were pretty straightforward, you know, the usual fill-in-the-blank stuff. Others? Total mysteries.
- I used every resource I could think of. My phone, of course.
- I googled a few of the trickier ones.
It was slow going, I won’t lie. There were moments where I wanted to just chuck my phone across the room. But I kept at it, chipping away, one word at a time. And you know what? It started to come together.
The feeling when you finally crack a clue that’s been bugging you? Amazing. It’s like a little mental victory. And then, slowly but surely, those little victories started to add up.
The Final Result!
I managed to fill it. It was a little slow,I spent about 12 * wasn’t pretty, and I definitely wouldn’t call myself a “short nyt” expert now, but I did it. And that felt pretty damn good.
So, yeah, that’s my story. Just a regular person, taking on a tiny puzzle, and (eventually) winning. It’s a good reminder that even small challenges can be rewarding, and that sometimes, a little persistence is all you need.
