Okay, let me walk you through how I ended up going to the WWE show down in Columbia, South Carolina this year, 2024.

Deciding to Go
First off, I heard the rumble that WWE was heading back to Columbia. It’s been a while, or at least it feels like it. I tossed the idea around for a bit. You know how it is, life gets busy. But then I thought, heck, why not? It’s usually a decent time, gets you out of the house. So, I made up my mind, yeah, I’m doing this.
Getting Things Sorted
Next step was actually getting the tickets. This part is always a bit of a gamble, right? You gotta be quick sometimes. I jumped online pretty much as soon as I could. Found the event, looked at the seating chart. Man, those ringside seats cost an arm and a leg. Nah, wasn’t feeling that flush. I looked for something reasonable, a spot where you can actually see the ring without needing binoculars the size of telescopes. Found a section, decent view, clicked buy. Felt good to have that locked in.
Then came the waiting game. Marked it on the calendar. Told a buddy I was going, he couldn’t make it, his loss. Just gotta plan the drive down there, figure out parking – always a joy in downtown Columbia, right? Decided I’d head out a bit early on the day, grab some food nearby, avoid the worst of the rush getting into the arena lot.
The Day Of – Showtime
Alright, event day. Did just like I planned. Drove down, found a parking spot that wasn’t a mile away, thankfully. Paid the usual crazy event parking fee, what can you do. Grabbed a quick bite at some burger joint nearby. Nothing fancy, just fuel.
Headed over to the Colonial Life Arena. You could feel the buzz starting. Lots of folks in wrestling shirts, kids excited. Went through security, standard stuff, find your entrance gate. Inside, it’s got that big arena feel. Found my section, located my seat. View was pretty much what I expected, not bad at all. People were still filing in.
The show started up. Pyro goes off, gets you hyped. The energy in the crowd was pretty solid. Lots of cheering, booing the bad guys, you know the drill. It’s always interesting seeing these folks live compared to just on TV.
Highlights for me were probably:
- Seeing some of the newer wrestlers I wasn’t as familiar with.
- The main event had some good spots, kept the crowd into it.
- Just the overall atmosphere, it’s hard to beat a live crowd that’s into it.
Some bits dragged a little, maybe a promo that went on too long, happens sometimes. But mostly, it moved along okay. Saw some good matches, got into the stories they were telling in the ring. You just kind of get swept up in it.

Wrapping Up
Show ended, lights came up. Time for the mass exit. Always takes forever to get out of the arena and then out of the parking lot. Just gotta be patient. Finally got back on the road, heading home. Tired, ears ringing a bit from the noise, but felt like a good night out.
So yeah, that was my trip to WWE Columbia SC 2024. Went, saw, experienced it. Glad I decided to go. It’s one of those things, you gotta do it live every now and then if you’re a fan. Worth the effort, I’d say.
