Okay, so I tried to look up the leaderboard for the Phoenix Open the other day. It’s a big golf tournament, you know. I figured, let’s see who’s on top, who’s doing well.
First, I started by firing up my browser. It took me a little while to figure out the best way to get started. I’m looking for live scores, that’s the important thing. I want real-time updates on how the players are performing. Then, I started to try searching a few times to find the correct information.
I found some sites that had information for past tournaments, like the 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open. That’s cool and all, but I wanted the current scores. I saw that some websites offer live scores. I guess it’s a pretty common feature for sports websites.

Anyway, I spent a good chunk of time browsing through these leaderboards. It’s kinda addictive, watching the scores change and seeing who’s moving up and down. The sites did have the results from the previous year’s tournament, though, so that was a nice addition.
It was also interesting to see where the different websites were based. Some were from Turkey, some were from Kenya, and some were from India. It’s crazy how global this stuff is. You can find information about a golf tournament in Arizona from all over the world.
I did notice that some websites mentioned student portals, faculty logins, and alumni pages. I guess they were more than just sports websites. They might have been university websites or something. It’s a little confusing, to be honest.
My Findings

The process took me a little bit of time to find the right information, but it is out there! I guess that is what I learned, that anyone can find this information, but it can take a bit of time to find exactly what you are looking for, as it did for me.
