So, the other day I got really curious about what Paul Casey actually keeps in his golf bag. You see him on TV, playing pretty consistently, and I just started wondering, you know, what tools is this guy using? It’s not always obvious just from watching.

I figured it’d be simple, just a quick search online. Well, it wasn’t quite that easy. You type it in, and you get a bunch of articles, sure. But golfers, especially pros, they switch things up. What he used last year might not be what he’s gaming this week. It gets kinda confusing fast.
Digging into the Details
So, I started digging a bit deeper. I looked at a few different golf gear websites, the ones that usually track this stuff. Checked out some forum discussions too, sometimes you find good info there from folks who really follow equipment closely. I tried to find the most recent reports, maybe from the last tournament he played or photos from recent events. You gotta cross-reference a bit, see what matches up across different sources. Sometimes one site says one driver, another says a slightly different model. You piece it together.
It seems like he’s often stuck with certain brands for parts of his bag, but he’s definitely not afraid to mix it up which I find interesting. Not like some guys who are head-to-toe one company. Makes sense, you use what works best for your game, right?
What I Found (Generally Speaking)
After poking around for a while, I got a pretty good picture. Keep in mind, this could always change, like I said. But here’s the gist of what seemed to be his setup recently:
- Driver: He’s often been seen with a Titleist driver, sometimes TaylorMade too. Specs obviously tuned just for him.
- Fairway Woods: Usually matching his driver brand, seems like he carries a 3-wood, maybe a 5-wood depending on the course.
- Irons: This is where it gets interesting. I saw mentions of Mizuno irons, which he used for a long time, but also Titleist irons more recently. He doesn’t seem to carry a full set of blades, maybe some cavity backs in the longer irons. Smart.
- Wedges: Pretty consistently Titleist Vokey wedges. Most pros use these, they’re just solid. He probably carries three or four different lofts.
- Putter: Usually a Scotty Cameron putter, often a blade style from what I could gather.
- Ball: Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x, seems standard for him.
So yeah, that was my little project. Took a bit more effort than just one click, but it’s interesting to see the specific gear these top players rely on. It definitely doesn’t make me play like him, but satisfying the curiosity was the main thing. It’s just gear, but it’s fun to know.
