Alright, let’s talk about this Paladin Yacht thing, ya know? I heard some folks chattin’ about it, so I figured I’d give ya my two cents, even though I don’t know nothin’ about fancy boats.
First off, they call it a “superyacht.” Now, what in tarnation is a superyacht? Sounds like somethin’ outta a comic book, all flashy and whatnot. But from what I gather, it’s just a real big, real expensive boat. Big enough to fit a whole bunch of folks, like maybe even your whole darn family and then some! They say this Paladin yacht can hold like, 12 people in them fancy sleeping rooms they got. Five of ’em, they say. That’s a lot of beds, ain’t it?
This Paladin boat, it ain’t new neither. They built it way back in 2008. That’s… well, that’s a good while ago. Heck, my grandson wasn’t even born yet back then! But I guess if you take care of somethin’ real good, it can last a long time. They say some company called Delta Marine made it. Sounds like they know what they’re doin’, buildin’ boats and all.
- This boat used to have a different name too! Can ya believe it? First it was called Wildflour. Then, somethin’ called Seven J’s, I think. Now it’s Paladin. Sounds like a knight or somethin’, ya know, from them old timey stories. Makes ya wonder what kinda adventures it’s been on, huh?
- And it’s a motor yacht, they tell me. That just means it got an engine, right? Ain’t no sailin’ in the wind with this one, I reckon. You just push a button and off ya go, zoomin’ across the water. Must be nice, not havin’ to wrestle with them sails all day.
Now, where this boat goes, that’s another story. Seems like it goes all over the place. I heard ’em sayin’ somethin’ about the Pacific Northwest. That’s way up there, by Canada, I think. Cold and rainy, probably. Then there’s America, which is a big place, so who knows where exactly. And New England, and Florida, and the Bahamas. Sounds like it follows the sun, this boat. Always lookin’ for warm weather and pretty water.
They say it’s real purdy on the inside too. Got all sorts of fancy fixin’s, like a real nice house. Someone named Tom Stringer, they did all the designin’ inside. Must be a real smart fella, makin’ the inside of a boat look like a palace. I seen some pictures online – shiny wood, comfy lookin’ chairs, all that jazz. Bet it costs a fortune to keep it all clean and shiny.
And get this, they even rank these boats! Like they got a list or somethin’ of the biggest ones in the world. This Paladin, it’s number 1292, somethin’ like that. Now, that don’t sound too high up, but there’s gotta be a whole heap of boats out there, so I guess it’s still pretty darn big. And it’s the 12th biggest one that Delta Marine ever built. So, they did a good job, I reckon.
Someone was talkin’ ’bout charterin’ it too. That means you can rent it out, like a car, but way more expensive, I betcha. So, if you got a whole lotta money and wanna feel fancy, you can go sailin’ around on this Paladin yacht. They even got brochures and stuff, showin’ ya how purdy it is inside. But me? I’ll stick to my porch swing, thank ya very much.
Last I heard, this boat was over in the West Mediterranean. That’s way over yonder, near Europe. Guess it’s hoppin’ all over the place. People also ask if it’s legal to sail around the world and yup it is. Long as ya got all yer papers and stuff. Like a driver’s license but for boats, I suppose. And your passport, of course, just like when you’re flyin’ on them airplanes.
So, that’s about all I know ’bout this Paladin yacht. Big, fancy, expensive, goes all over the place. Sounds like a dream for some folks, but I’m happy just lookin’ at the pictures. It’s a whole different world, that boat life, and I reckon it ain’t for the likes of me.
