Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about this NCAA 25 game, and how to do that fancy sideways pass thing, the lateral, they call it. Don’t you go gettin’ all confused now, I’ll make it plain as day.
First off, what in tarnation is a lateral anyway? Well, it’s like this: you got the ball, right? And instead of chuckin’ it forward like you normally do, you toss it sideways or even a little bit backward to your teammate. Sounds crazy, huh? But it can be real useful if you do it right.
Now, in this NCAA 25, doin’ a lateral ain’t too hard. You gotta be runnin’ with the ball, see? And then, you gotta find your teammate. Keep your eyes peeled, don’t just go throwin’ the ball willy-nilly. Once you spot your guy, you gotta hit the right button. I ain’t sure what button it is on that fancy Playstation or X-box you youngsters use, but the game will tell ya. It’s probably somethin’ like L1 or LB, somethin’ like that. Just look in the controls, will ya?
But hold your horses! Just because you know how to do it, don’t mean you should be doin’ it all the time. Laterals are risky business. If you ain’t careful, you’ll fumble the ball and the other team will get it. Then you’ll be in a real pickle.
- When to Lateral: You wanna do a lateral when you’re in a real tight spot. Maybe time’s runnin’ out and you need a big play. Or maybe you got a bunch of defenders on you and you can’t go no further. That’s when you look for your buddy and toss him the ball.
- When NOT to Lateral: Don’t go throwin’ laterals when you got a clear path to the endzone, for crying out loud! Just run the darn ball! And don’t do it when there’s a whole bunch of the other team’s players around. They’ll snatch that ball faster than a chicken hawk grabs a chick.
And speaking of offense, let me tell you somethin’ about that. Some folks, they just wanna play offense and don’t want no part of defense. I ain’t sure why, seems kinda lazy to me, but you can do that in this NCAA 25 game. You just go into them settings, them “Play Options” they call ’em, and tell the game you wanna “Play All Offense”. Then the game will do all that defense stuff for you, and you just get to play when your team has the ball. Easy peasy.
But listen here, defense is important too! You gotta stop the other team from scorin’, or you ain’t gonna win no games. There’s this thing called the “4-3 defense” that folks use. It’s got four big fellas up front and three linebackers behind them. It’s good for stoppin’ the run and gettin’ to the quarterback. You gotta learn about that stuff too, if you wanna be any good.
Another thing you gotta know about is managin’ that clock. That’s important on offense. It ain’t just about runnin’ down the time and callin’ timeouts. You gotta be smart about it. You gotta know when to run the ball, when to pass it, and when to maybe, just maybe, do that lateral thing we talked about earlier.
So there you have it. A little bit about laterals and some other stuff in this NCAA 25 game. Just remember, be careful with them laterals, know when to use ’em, and don’t be afraid to play some defense, even if you’d rather just run around with the ball all day. And for goodness sake, manage that clock! You don’t want to run out of time and lose the game, do ya? Now get out there and play some football!
Now, remember what I told you and you might just win yourself a game or two. If not, well, at least you had some fun, right?
