Alright, so the other day I was looking for stuff to do with baseball around here, and I stumbled upon this thing called “Morris Baseball” in Indiana. I gotta say, it got me pretty interested.
First things first, I started digging around to see what this Morris Baseball was all about. Turns out, it’s like a central hub for all things baseball in Morris, Indiana. You got your youth leagues, travel teams, and probably a bunch of other stuff all rolled into one.
Then I went a little deeper. I found out there’s this Morris Baseball Executive Board. Now, these guys are like the big shots, making sure everything runs smooth. They handle the different programs, organize events, and even help get money for improving the local ballparks. Sounds like a busy bunch, right?
One of the things I noticed was that Morris Baseball has been around for a while. I saw something about them celebrating their 30th season in 2020, so they’re definitely not new to this. They had some coach, Dave Sutkowski, who apparently started the whole thing and wanted all the old players to come back for a reunion or something. Kinda cool, huh?
So, I found their location. It’s in Schererville, this place called Morris Baseball Softball Center. I guess they do softball too, but I was mostly focused on the baseball side of things. It mentioned it’s some kind of “elite integrated youth baseball development program,” which sounds pretty fancy. They are located at 221 West US 41. I guess that means they’re serious about training young players.
To join a team, you have to go to Indiana. I’m not really sure how to try out, but I didn’t really look into that part much. I was more interested in the whole Morris Baseball scene.
- They’ve got a website, or at least they did in 2020. It said “2020 by Morris Baseball Association” at the bottom.
- It seems like a great spot for anyone into youth baseball in Indiana.
- Coaches, players, parents – you name it, they’re all involved.
- They talk about their teams and give out tips and all that jazz.
Here’s the thing that really caught my eye:
All in all, this Morris Baseball thing seems pretty legit. It’s like a one-stop shop for baseball lovers in Indiana. I don’t play myself, but if I did, I’d definitely check it out. It seems like a fun time.
