Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Monopoly Go lately, and let me tell you, this Fortune Countdown event is something else. I wanted to figure out the best way to maximize those rewards, so I started tracking everything. It was a bit of a mess at first, to be honest.

My Initial Scramble
First, I just played like normal, you know? Just rolling the dice, landing where I landed, and hoping for the best. I got some rewards, sure, but it felt super random. I knew there had to be a better way. I needed some kind of a system, some data to work with.
Getting Organized (Finally!)
So, I grabbed a notebook and a pen – yeah, old school, I know – and I started noting down every time the Fortune Countdown popped up. What level was I on? What did I land on? What was the reward? It was slow going at the start, and honestly, my notes looked like chicken scratch.
Then, I thought, “There’s gotta be an easier way.” I moved my tracking over to a spreadsheet on my computer. Much cleaner! I created columns for the level, the space I landed on, the reward type, and the reward amount. It started to look like something useful!
Pattern Recognition (or Lack Thereof?)
After a few days of doing this, I started to look for patterns. Was there a certain level where the Fortune Countdown appeared more often? Did certain spaces trigger it more? I spent hours staring at those numbers, trying to make sense of it all.
Honestly, it felt pretty random. I couldn’t find any clear, obvious pattern in when the countdown appeared. But, having all the data in front of me did help in another way.
Maximizing the Rewards (The Real Win)
What the spreadsheet did show me was which rewards were the most valuable. I could see, for example, that landing on certain railroads during the countdown gave me way more dice rolls than other spaces. So, even though I couldn’t predict when the countdown would happen, I could focus on hitting those high-value spots when it did appear.
I started to be more strategic with my dice rolls. If the Fortune Countdown was active, I’d use a higher multiplier if I was close to a good railroad, for instance. If it wasn’t active, I’d play it a bit safer, using lower multipliers to conserve my dice.
My Ongoing Experiment
This is still a work in progress, no doubt. I’m still collecting data, still trying to see if there’s a deeper pattern I’m missing. But even if it’s mostly random, tracking everything has helped me be more mindful of my gameplay.

It has helped me improve my playstyle by focusing on spots with a better payout than other spots.
It is good to be mindfull.
