Alright, let’s talk about this Raw Monday thing, whatever it is. I watched it, kinda sorta, while I was, you know, doin’ my thing around the house. Mondays are always a mess, but this Raw thing, it was… somethin’.
First off, they had this fella, CM Punk, I think they called him. Now, I ain’t no wrestling expert, but even I know this guy’s a big deal. He was yappin’ and jawin’ with some other fellas, Seth somethin’-or-other. They were arguin’ like cats and dogs, real loud and all. Reminded me of my grandkids fightin’ over the last piece of pie. Anyway, they’re gonna wrestle each other, I guess. Kids these days and their fightin’…
Then there was this other fella, Drew McIntyre. Big fella, looks like he could wrestle a bear and win. He came back, they said. I guess he was gone for a while? Folks seemed real happy to see him, cheerin’ and all. He’s got that look, you know? Like he means business. I wouldn’t wanna mess with him, that’s for sure.
- They had some tag team matches too. Lots of jumpin’ and thumpin’.
- One of them had this gal, Rhea Ripley, she’s tough as nails. She and that Damian Priest fella, they won again. They seem like a bad bunch, them two.
There was a lot of talkin’, too. Folks cuttin’ promos, they call ‘em. Just a bunch of jawin’ if you ask me. But I guess that’s part of the whole show. They gotta tell you why they’re gonna beat each other up, I suppose. Makes no sense to me, but hey, what do I know?
The whole show was kinda long, if you ask me. Two hours? That’s a long time to be watchin’ people pretend to fight. But my grandkids, they love it. They were glued to the TV, yellin’ and cheerin’. I guess it’s somethin’ for them to do. Keeps ‘em outta trouble, mostly.
Big E got kicked out, they said. Kicked out by his own friends! Can you believe that? That Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, they done him wrong. Reminds me of that time old man Johnson got kicked outta the bingo night for cheatin’. Sad, really sad.
They had this fight at the end, the main event they called it. Lots of fancy moves and near falls. I almost fell asleep a couple of times, gotta be honest. But the crowd was goin’ nuts, so I guess it was excitin’. I don’t know, these young folks and their loud noises.
So yeah, that was Raw Monday. Lots of wrestlin’, lots of talkin’, lots of noise. Not my cup of tea, but it seems like folks like it. And hey, at least it gives me somethin’ to talk about with the grandkids. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talkin’ about fightin’ made me hungry.
One more thing, it was in some place called Everett, Washington. Never been there. Heard it rains a lot. Then they went to Hershey, which sounds like a place that makes candy. Then somethin’ about a Providence place, where they got this Amica somethin’-or-other. Sounds fancy. These wrestlers, they travel all over the place, I tell ya.
Overall, it was a show, I guess. Not much different than any other wrestling show I’ve seen. Just a bunch of folks pretendin’ to beat each other up. But hey, it’s entertainment, right? And Lord knows we all need a little entertainment now and again.
They sure did pack a lot into them two hours. Fights and talkin’ and then more fightin’. Like I said, it ain’t my kinda thing but the youngins like it, I guess it’s okay. Just as long as they stay outta trouble and keep their hands to themselves.
They was talkin about Survivor Series too. Seems like that was a big deal. Something about a War Games match? Sounds violent. I tell ya, these wrestlers, they’re a crazy bunch. But hey, they seem to be havin’ fun, so I guess that’s all that matters.
