Okay, so I just went through that Genshin ‘perfume’ web event, the Spices From the West thing they brought back. Figured I’d walk you through how I got it done, pretty simple stuff really.
Finding and Starting
First thing, I logged into Genshin like usual. Saw the event notification pop up, you know, the little icon. Clicked on that, and it took me to the event page in the browser. Sometimes I find these things through the Paimon menu too, under ‘Special Event’.
Understanding the Task
Looked like the main idea was to mix some spices together. They give you recipes, and you follow ’em to make seasonings. Then, you give these seasonings to characters you have chilling in your Serenitea Pot to see how they react and get some friendship points. Plus, there are rewards for making the seasonings themselves.
Getting the Ingredients
Right, you need ingredients first. The event page told me what to do. Stuff like:
- Log in to Genshin Impact daily.
- Complete 2 Daily Commissions today.
- Consume a total of 40 Original Resin today.
So, basically, I just played the game normally. Did my commissions, used some resin farming artifacts or whatever. The ingredients just sort of collected themselves as I did my usual routine. Went back to the event page later and claimed them.
Mixing the Spices – The Mini-Game Part
This was the main ‘action’ part. Once I had ingredients, I hit the button that said something like “Start Making Seasoning”.
It brought up this little mini-game screen. There’s like a pot or a bowl, and a ladle or spoon thing swinging back and forth at the top. Below it, there’s a line with ingredient icons on it.
Here’s the trick: A specific ingredient pops up at the top, telling you what to add next. You gotta click or tap when the swinging spoon pointer is exactly over that ingredient icon on the line below. Just watch the pointer and click at the right moment.
I messed up the timing a couple of times at first, clicked too early or too late. But you get the hang of it quickly. You add the ingredients one by one, following the recipe they show you. After adding all the needed spices correctly, boom, you’ve made a “Fragrant Seasoning”.
Giving Seasonings to Friends
Okay, got the seasoning. Now what? Had to go into the game itself, to my Serenitea Pot. Made sure I had some companions placed inside my house or around the teapot layout.
Walked up to one of them, think I tried Jean first. Started a conversation, and there was a new option like “Please try this seasoning…”. Selected that.
She tasted it, gave a reaction, and I got some Companionship EXP for her. Nice little boost. Apparently, different characters might have slightly different reactions or preferences, but the main thing is getting that friendship XP and completing the event task.
You can also use the seasonings on food you cook to make “Fragrant Dishes” which you can then give to characters for different reactions too, but just giving the seasoning directly works for the event progress I needed.
Collecting the Rewards
Back on the event web page, I checked the rewards section. As I made more seasonings and gave them out, I unlocked different rewards tiers. Stuff like Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit, and Mystic Enhancement Ore. Just clicked ‘Claim’ next to each one I unlocked. Easy peasy.
So yeah, that was basically it. Log in, do daily stuff for ingredients, play the timing mini-game, give the result to a character in the teapot, claim web event rewards. Pretty straightforward little event for some extra goodies.
