Yesterday, I bumped into this game called “Lethal Company”, and it’s pretty fun. But you know what’s annoying? When you’re playing with your buddies and someone has to leave or gets disconnected, there’s no way to let someone else jump in mid-game. So, I thought, why not try to fix that myself?
I started digging around online to see if anyone else had figured this out. Turns out, there’s this mod called “*”. Seemed like just what I needed, so I decided to give it a shot.
Get the Mod
First things first, I had to get my hands on this mod. I heard about this thing called “Thunderstore Mod Manager” that makes it super easy to install and manage mods for games, including Lethal Company. I downloaded and installed it. It was pretty straightforward, just a few clicks, and it was set up on my computer.
Install “*”
With the mod manager ready, I searched for “*” within the app. Found it, clicked on “Install”, and boom, it was in. This manager really makes things a breeze. I did notice that it automatically installed something called “BepInEx” as well. I guess it’s some kind of framework that mods need to work properly.
Start the Game and Test
Once everything was installed, I launched Lethal Company through the mod manager. It felt a bit weird not starting the game from Steam directly, but hey, if it works, it works. I joined a game that was already in progress, and guess what? It worked like a charm! I was right in the action, just like I had been there from the start.
Sharing with Friends
Of course, I had to tell my friends about this. They were as excited as I was. I walked them through the process of installing the Thunderstore Mod Manager and the “*” mod. Now, they can join our games anytime, even if they’re late to the party.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I did:
- Downloaded and installed the Thunderstore Mod Manager.
- Used the manager to find and install the “*” mod (which also installed BepInEx).
- Launched Lethal Company through the mod manager.
- Joined a game mid-session without any issues.
Honestly, it was way easier than I expected. If you’re into Lethal Company and want to make your gaming sessions more flexible, definitely give this a try. It’s a game-changer, literally!
