Okay, so I was trying to solve this crossword puzzle the other day, and one of the clues was “body of African warriors.” I was stumped for a bit, scratching my head and trying to think of different African tribes or groups known for their warriors.
I started by listing out some of the ones I could remember from history books or documentaries – Zulu, Maasai, things like that. But none of them seemed to fit the number of letters I needed for the crossword.
My First Try
- Zulu – Nope, too short.
- Maasai – Still not it.
- Tried some combinations– No luck.
So, I decided to change my plan. I started to type in “African warriors” and do some research.
I was reading, you know, browsing through articles, and it was all really interesting stuff. But it wasn’t giving me the specific word I needed. Then it hit me! The clue wasn’t asking for a specific tribe, but a body of warriors – a group!
And then, I remembered the word “impi”.I’d seen it before, that’s a Zulu word for a body of armed men, a regiment!
I typed it into the crossword, and bam! It fit perfectly. Felt pretty good, solving that one. it is such a good feeling.
