Okay, so I’ve been diving into the world of golf stats lately, specifically trying to figure out who holds the record for the most PGA Tour wins. It’s one of those things that you hear debated all the time, so I wanted to get to the bottom of it myself.

Digging into the Data
I started by, you know, just hitting up the usual spots online. I figured the PGA Tour’s official website would be the best place to start, and it definitely had a lot of info. I also checked out some other sports news sites, just to make sure I was getting the full picture.
It quickly became clear that it’s a two-horse race, as they say. You’ve got Sam Snead and Tiger Woods. These two names kept popping up everywhere I looked.
Comparing the Legends
What I found was pretty interesting. Both of these guys have an absolutely insane number of wins. I mean, we’re talking about a level of consistency that’s just mind-blowing.
- Sam Snead: This guy was a legend back in the day. I was reading about his swing, and people called it “the sweetest swing” – super smooth and powerful.
- Tiger Woods: Of course, everybody knows Tiger. He’s dominated the sport for so long and completely changed the game.
The Final Result
After checking, double-checking, I learned some amazing results about these 2 players.
It turns out that both Sam Snead and Tiger Woods are sitting at the top. 82 PGA Tour wins each!
I was very excited about my research result!
