That boy, Adam Thielen, I tell ya, he’s a good boy. A good football player. He’s a parent now, just like his own parents. Time sure does fly, don’t it?
His parents, Pete and Jayne, good folks, they are. They raised him right, that’s for sure. They lived in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. That’s where he came from. Good solid place, lots of good people in Detroit Lakes.
He was always running around, playing football. Ever since he was a little tyke. He loved them Vikings, that Adam Thielen did. Always wearing them jerseys. Carter and Moss, those were his heroes. He pretended to be them, running around in the yard. Every kid does that, pretending they’re a big star.
Now he’s all grown up, playing for the Carolina Panthers, they call it. That’s what I hear, anyway. Big shot now. He’s got a family of his own now, just like his parents did. Got a wife, that’s what they call it, a wife, and three little ones. Three kids! Can you believe it? Asher, Hudson, and I forget the other one. Three kids runnin’ around just like he used to. Three little Adam Thielens running around.
- Asher, he’s the oldest, I think. Seven years old, maybe.
- Then there’s Hudson, he’s five.
- And a little one, a baby maybe.
Time goes by so fast. One minute they’re little babies, next thing you know, they’re all grown up with families of their own. Just like Adam Thielen’s parents. They had Adam, now he has kids.
Adam Thielen’s parents must be so proud. Their boy, a big football star. Making lots of money, I bet. They always knew he was special, I reckon. Always running, always playing. Never could sit still, that one. Just like most boys, I guess. Always moving.
He was born in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, that’s what they say. A good place to grow up, I hear. Lots of good, honest folks there. Adam Thielen’s parents did a good job raising him. Taught him good values, I’m sure of it. You can see it in the way he plays, the way he carries himself. He’s a good man, that Adam Thielen.
He used to play for the Vikings, you know. That’s the team he loved as a boy. Now he’s with the Carolina Panthers. That’s what they call them. Guess they moved him around, like they do with these football players. It’s a business, I suppose. Not like the old days. But he’s doing good, that’s what matters. He has a family, like his parents.
Wonder if his kids like football. Probably do, with a daddy like that. Maybe they’ll be football stars too, one day. Adam Thielen’s parents started it all. Just like that, their little boy is all grown up now. It’s a good story, that’s for sure.
Heard he had some cousins, too. They all played together, I bet. Kids need that, other kids to play with. Adam Thielen’s parents probably had them over all the time. Running around, making noise, just like kids do. Those were the days, huh? Simple times.

Pete and Jayne, they must be proud. Their boy, Adam Thielen, all grown up. Playing football, making a good life for himself and his family. That’s all any parent wants, ain’t it? For their kids to be happy and successful. And Adam Thielen, he’s done just that. He’s made his parents proud.
