Okay, so I’ve just wrapped up this awesome trip, and I gotta share all the deets about my Oregon adventure. It was a blast, seriously. Let me take you through what I did.
First off, planning. Yeah, I know, not the fun part, but it’s gotta be done. I sat down and thought, “What’s my budget?” I had a number in mind, which is super important cause you don’t wanna blow all your cash, right? Then, I picked where to go. Oregon’s huge, with tons of cool spots, but I had to narrow it down based on what I like and, again, that budget.
Next up, research. This is where the fun begins. I dug into the places I was eyeing. What’s the vibe? What can I do there? And, oh boy, the weather – that’s a big one. Oregon’s got it all, from sunny to rainy, so you gotta pack smart. I checked out a bunch of stuff online about what to see and do. State parks? Check. Natural wonders? Double-check. There are just so many state parks and natural views to go. You need to look it up.
Alright, let’s hit the road! I divided my trip into four sections, just to keep things easy.
- The Coast
- Central Oregon
- Near Portland
- Eastern Oregon.
Each spot got its own time to shine. We did this Oregon road trip as a family, so we have to take care of each other, especially the kids.
The Coast
The Oregon Coast is stunning. It’s not your typical beach scene, though. Think more rugged and wild than sunny and chill. Perfect for some moody photos and just soaking in the views.
Central Oregon
This place is like a different world. It’s got mountains, it’s all high desert vibes. Super cool for hiking and just being out in nature.
Near Portland
Of course, I had to check out Portland. It’s got that quirky, artsy reputation, and it totally lives up to it. Plus, the nature around Portland? Amazing. I went to Wahclella Falls after visiting Multnomah Falls. It was only like 3km to the falls. Pretty easy.
Eastern Oregon
This area is just vast and beautiful. It’s less crowded, so you really feel like you’re exploring something special. We spent 10 days just driving around and taking it all in. It’s just wild.
So, that’s the rundown of my Oregon road trip. It was a mix of everything – cities, nature, beaches, mountains. I tried to plan it out to get a little bit of everything Oregon has to offer. And I gotta say, it didn’t disappoint. If you’re thinking of doing a trip like this, just do it. You won’t regret it!
Man, what a trip! I’m already thinking about where to go next. But for now, I hope my little adventure diary gives you some ideas. Later, guys!
