Okay, so I saw this “Lamar Jackson Candle” thing trending, and I just had to try and make one myself. I’m a huge Ravens fan, and the idea of a candle that somehow captures Lamar’s… essence? I was all in.

First, I brainstormed what this candle should even be. What does Lamar Jackson smell like? Victory? Sweat? The sweet aroma of a perfectly thrown spiral? I decided to go for something that felt like a crisp autumn day, a little bit of grass, and maybe a hint of… I don’t know… magic?
Gathering Supplies
I hit up the local craft store. This is what I grabbed:
- Purple wax – Gotta represent the Ravens, obviously!
- A football-shaped mold – I found one online, surprisingly!
- Wicks – The essential, duh.
- Scent oils – I went with a mix of “clean cotton” (for that fresh laundry feel), “oakmoss” (for the outdoorsy vibe), and a tiny bit of “spice” (for that Lamar zing).
- A double boiler – Or, you know, a pot and a heat-safe bowl.
The Making of
Alright, time to get messy. I melted the wax in my makeshift double boiler. This took longer than I thought. Patience is key, I guess. Once it was all liquid, I stirred in the scent oils. I went a little heavy on the oakmoss, to be honest. It smelled really strong.
Then, I carefully poured the wax into the football mold. I stuck the wick in the middle, trying to center it as best as I could. This was trickier than it looked. I ended up using some chopsticks to hold it in place. Resourceful, right?
The Waiting Game
Now came the hard part: waiting. I left the candle to cool and harden overnight. The anticipation was killing me! I kept checking on it every hour, like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.
The Reveal
Finally, the next day, I popped the candle out of the mold. It… kinda looked like a football. A slightly lumpy, purple football. But hey, it was my Lamar Jackson candle! The house filled up such great smell.
I lit it up, and… it worked! It burned pretty evenly, and the scent, while strong, was actually pretty good. Did it smell exactly like Lamar Jackson? Probably not. But did it capture the spirit of gameday and my unwavering Ravens fandom? Absolutely. It was a total touchdown, even if it was a little… homemade-looking.
