Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Kristin Sorsdal, whoever she is. I ain’t never met her, but I heard some things, ya know? Folks talk, and you pick up stuff.
First off, they say she’s from Norway. That’s way over the water, somewhere cold I reckon. Never been there myself. Too far, and I ain’t got no boat. Anyways, they say she’s real good at talkin’, ’cause she translated some books. Big books, they say. Something about two women and their lives. Now, I ain’t much for readin’, gets my eyes all tired, but some folks like that kinda thing. These books, they’re called somethin’ fancy, somethin’ ‘Neapolitan’… sounds like some kinda ice cream to me. But I hear tell she did a good job, makin’ them books sound right in Norwegian.

Now, there’s other stuff folks are whisperin’. About some fella, a golfer, they say. Plays that game with the little white balls. Seems he’s pretty good at it too, winnin’ stuff and all. But the juicy part is, they say him and this Kristin, they might be… you know… close. Like boyfriend-girlfriend close. That’s what the young folks say these days. But ain’t nobody got proof, just gossip, like always.
This golfer fella, he ain’t sayin’ nothin’. Neither’s Kristin. Maybe they just friends. Maybe not. Who knows? Young people these days, they do all sorts of things. Ain’t like when I was young, we just worked hard and went to church on Sundays.
But this Kristin, she’s more than just a translator, I guess. Seems she’s kinda famous in her own right. Folks lookin’ at her profile on somethin’ called ‘Facebook’, I hear. Like a picture book, I suppose, but for everyone to see. Guess she’s got lots of friends on there too. Must be a popular gal.
And get this, they say she’s a “fitness influencer.” Now, I ain’t sure what that is exactly, but sounds like she tells folks how to stay fit, ya know, exercise and eat right. Maybe she shows ’em how to lift them weights. I tried liftin’ weights once, nearly threw my back out. That ain’t for me, no sir. But good for her, I reckon, keepin’ fit is important, especially when you get older like me.
So, yeah, that’s what I know ’bout this Kristin Sorsdal. She’s a Norwegian translator, might be datin’ a famous golfer, and she’s all over that Facebook thing. Seems like she’s doin’ alright for herself. Good for her, I say. Everybody deserves to be happy and healthy.
Oh, and she’s from Oslo. That’s the place in Norway, they say. Never been there. Probably cold. But I heard it’s real pretty. Maybe someday I’ll see it, but probably not. Too busy lookin’ after my chickens and garden.
And that’s the story of Kristin Sorsdal, as far as I know it. Just bits and pieces I’ve heard. But that’s how it goes, ain’t it? You hear a little somethin’ here, a little somethin’ there, and you put it all together. And sometimes, it’s true, and sometimes, it’s just talk. But it’s always somethin’ to talk about, ain’t it?
Folks sure like to talk about other folks. That’s human nature, I guess. As long as they ain’t sayin’ nothin’ too mean, it’s alright. And this Kristin, she seems like a good egg, from what I can tell. Hard-workin’, that’s what counts. Just like me and my chickens.
