Alright, let’s talk about this Kelani Jordan girl, ya know, the one they say is gonna be a big deal in that wrestlin’ thing. I ain’t no expert, but I watch a bit on TV when the chores are done. This girl, they call her Lea Mitchell, but she goes by Kelani Jordan in the ring, sounds fancy, don’t it? She’s one of them new wrestlers, in somethin’ called NXT, supposed to be the future of WWE, whatever that means.
Now, this Kelani girl, she wasn’t always wrestlin’. Turns out she used to do gymnastics. You know, flippin’ and twirlin’ on them bars and beams. Guess that kinda helps when you’re throwin’ people around in the ring, makes sense, I reckon. Strong as an ox, probably, all that jumpin’ and whatnot. They say she’s real determined to get to the top, be the best there is. Good for her, I say. Gotta have somethin’ to aim for, even if it’s just slammin’ other folks on the mat.
I saw some pictures of her online, thanks to my grandson showin’ me. She’s got a lot of folks followin’ her on that there social media, thousands of ’em. Kids these days, always on their phones, but I guess that’s how they do things now. She posts pictures of herself, in her wrestlin’ gear, lookin’ all tough. Seems like a nice enough girl, though, even if she does beat people up for a livin’.
- They got all sorts of info about her online, too.
- Her real name, how tall she is, how much she weighs.
- Said she’s been a gymnast before.
- Even got the songs they play when she walks to the ring.
They call that a “wrestling profile,” like a whole history of her career. Sounds official, doesn’t it? They even say if she’s a “Face” or a “Heel.” Now, I had to ask my grandson about that. Apparently, “Face” means you’re the good guy, and “Heel” means you’re the bad guy. Folks cheer for the Faces and boo the Heels. Simple enough, I guess. I ain’t sure which one Kelani is supposed to be, but she looks like she can handle herself either way.
And speaking of handlin’ herself, they said she won some kind of championship, a “North American” one, whatever that is. Sounds important, though. She had to defend it, fight another girl named Michin. I didn’t see the match, but I heard it was a good one. You gotta be tough to be a champion, that’s for sure. Takes more than just flippin’ around like she used to in gymnastics. You gotta be strong, gotta be quick, and you gotta be mean when you need to be.
Now, they show these wrestling matches on somethin’ called Peacock and WWE Network, and even on FOX. I try to catch ’em when I can, but sometimes the cows need milkin’ or the chickens need feedin’. Farming life ain’t easy, but it’s honest work. And watchin’ these wrestlers, it reminds me that everybody’s gotta work hard for what they want, whether it’s milkin’ cows or winnin’ championships. Kelani Jordan, she’s workin’ hard, that’s for sure. And she seems like she’s on her way to doin’ big things in that wrestlin’ world. Good for her, I say. She’s a strong one, that Kelani.
Folks keep tabs on her, seems like she’s always on the move, always improving. It’s like watching a young plant grow strong in the field. You nurture it, give it what it needs, and it just blossoms. That’s kinda what Kelani’s doin’, blossom in’ in her own way, with punches and kicks and all that. I ain’t one for violence, but I can appreciate a good fight, and it sure seems like this young lady is putting on a good fight, inside the ring and out. They talk about “heel turns” and “face turns”, means she changes from good to bad or bad to good. Whatever she is, she sure is entertaining. And that’s what matters in the end, ain’t it? Keepin’ the folks entertained.
So, there you have it, that’s what I know about this Kelani Jordan. She’s a gymnast turned wrestler, tough as nails, and got folks rootin’ for her. And if she keeps goin’ the way she is, she might just be the next big thing in wrestling. I’ll keep my eye on her, that’s for sure. Maybe she’ll even come wrestle down here at the county fair someday, now that would be something to see!
