Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something totally new – making my computer talk with different voices, specifically like a voice actor. I’ve seen those cool AI voice things online, and thought, “Why not try making one myself?” So, I dove in, and here’s how it went.

First, I needed to find some tools. I’m not a coder or anything, so I searched for user-friendly software. The names “Jiaoqiu” kept popping up, so I figured, let’s start there. I had no idea what would be involved, honestly.
The Search and Setup
- Finding the Software: I just did simple search, and then I looked through the search results page by page.I did my best to find the most suitable tools.
- Downloading & Installing: This was straightforward,I found what I needed and downlaod the software and install it.
My First Attempts
I opened up the software, and, whoa, there were a lot of buttons and settings! I felt a bit lost at first. I tried to find some tutorial online, and use it to start my first step.
After some try, I finally got something to work! It wasn’t perfect, not at all like those professional-sounding voice actors, but it was a start. I could type in words, and the computer would say them out loud. It was pretty cool, even if it sounded a bit robotic.
Tweaking and Experimenting
I spent hours just playing with the different settings. I changed the pitch, the speed, and tried out different “voice” options. Some sounded hilarious, others were just weird. I even tried to make it say some of my favorite movie lines, just for fun.
- Adjusting the Pitch: Making it higher made it sound like a cartoon character. Lowering it made it sound super deep, almost scary.
- Changing the Speed: Too fast, and it was gibberish. Too slow, and it sounded like a drunk robot.
- Exploring Voice Options:This was the most fun part. There are many options here.
Still Learning!
By the end of the day, my computer could kinda-sorta talk like a voice actor. It definitely needs more work. I need to learn how to make it sound more natural, and how to add some emotion to the voice. But, hey, it was a fun experiment! I’m excited to keep playing around with this and see what I can create. It’s amazing what you can do with just a computer and some free software these days.
