I ain’t never played no Monopoly, but I heard it’s got somethin’ to do with buyin’ houses and makin’ money, just like real life, only faster, I reckon.

Now, this is where it gets a bit fuzzy. They talk about “milestones” and “points”. Seems like you gotta do stuff in the game to earn these points. And the more points you get, the further you go, like climbin’ a ladder, or maybe throwin’ that javelin thing further and further. They even say the last milestone gives ya somethin’ big, like a “6”. I ain’t sure what that “6” is, but it must be somethin’ good, maybe a whole bunch of Monopoly money or somethin’. Probably makes them young’uns jump up and down like they got ants in their pants.

Well, they call ‘em “rewards”, these prizes you get. I ain’t sure what they all are, but I reckon it’s stuff that helps you in that Monopoly Go game. Maybe more money, maybe some special dice, maybe even a little hat for your game piece. Who knows? But they say this Javelin Jolt gives out more prizes than them other short games, ‘cause it lasts longer. Makes sense, I guess. The longer you work, the more you get, just like hoein’ a field.

I heard tell it started on July 30th. So, if you’re one of them Monopoly Go folks, you might already be in the thick of it, flickin’ and tappin’ away. And like I said, it lasts more than a day, maybe even two. So, you got plenty of time to get them points and reach them milestones.
It’s all about the Olympics, they say.
Someone mentioned that this Javelin Jolt is all tied in with the Olympics. You know, them games where folks run real fast and jump real high and throw things real far. That javelin thing, that’s part of it, I think. So, it’s like they’re bringin’ the Olympics to your phone, I guess. Pretty clever, those city folks.
