Okay, so I’ve been following Min Woo Lee for a while now, and I was super stoked to see him play at the Irish Open. I decided I was gonna really pay attention to his game this time, maybe pick up a few things.

First thing I did was set up my recording. I wanted to be able to rewatch his rounds, so I made sure my DVR was all set. I even cleared out some old recordings to make sure I had enough space – don’t wanna miss a single swing!
Watching the First Round
Then came the waiting. It was a bit of a drag, checking the TV schedule, trying to figure out exactly when he’d be teeing off. I ended up watching a bunch of pre-tournament coverage, which was okay, but I was really just itching to see Min Woo play.
When he finally appeared on screen, I was glued to the TV. I grabbed a notepad and pen, ready to jot down some observations. My main focus was his short game, because that’s where I always seem to struggle.
- Chipping: I noticed he was really consistent with his chipping. He seemed to always get the ball close to the hole. I need to work on that.
- Putting: His putting stroke looked super smooth. I made a note to try and emulate that next time I’m on the green.
- Course Management:I try to watch how he selects clubs, judging distance.
The Following Rounds
I followed the same routine for the rest of the tournament. Watching, recording, taking notes. It was actually pretty tiring, being so focused for hours on end! But I felt like I was learning a lot, just by observing his technique and how he handled the pressure.
I will keep watching his play to keep learning next time.
