Okay, so I was messing around with this thing called “howler heas” – I think I got the name right. Honestly, I’m not even 100% sure what it’s supposed to be, but I saw some people talking about it online and figured, why not give it a shot?

First, I had to, you know, actually find the darn thing. I did some searching and digging around different websites, and finally landed on something that looked promising. Seemed kinda complicated at first glance, a bunch of files and folders, but I’ve dealt with worse.
Getting Started
I started by trying to put the thing into my project. I use this code editor thing, and I just dragged and dropped all the files into my project folder. I felt smart.
Then I remembered I had to, like, actually tell my project to use it. So I opened up my main file, the one that controls everything, and I added some lines of code at the top. Honestly, just copied and pasted from the instructions I found online. I don’t fully understand what that is, but it’s supposed to make everything work, like magic.
The First (Failed) Attempt
So, feeling pretty good about myself, I launched my project. And…nothing. Well, not nothing, but definitely not what I was expecting. I heard a weird glitchy sound, and something in my console, the area that displays error, was flashing red. That’s never good.
I stared at the screen for a good five minutes, completely lost. My brilliant plan was to change some random numbers in the code. I felt like a hacker in a movie, but instead of hacking the Pentagon, I was just making things worse.
Figuring It Out (Sort Of)
After about an hour of trial and error (mostly error), I realized I had messed up one crucial step. Remember that code I copied and pasted? Turns out, I needed to change one little part of it to match the name of my file. Duh.
So I fixed that, crossed my fingers, and launched the project again. This time, I heard…something! It wasn’t perfect, still a bit glitchy, but it was definitely closer to what I was aiming for. Progress!
Tweaking and Tinkering
I spent the next couple of hours playing around with the settings. There were all these sliders and buttons, and honestly, I had no idea what most of them did. But I just kept messing with them, listening to the changes, and slowly but surely, I started to get a feel for it.

- Volume: Made it louder or quieter. Easy enough.
- Some Other Slider: Made the sound…warpier? I think?
- Another Button: Added some kind of echo. Kind of cool.
The (Almost) Final Result
By the end of the day, I had something that sounded…okay. It wasn’t exactly professional-quality, but it was definitely an improvement from the silence I started with. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel like I’m finally getting the hang of this “howler heas” thing. Or at least, I’m getting somewhere.
I save my project. I’m calling it a day. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try adding some more sounds and see what happens. It is the whole process.
