This here Jason Dufner, he’s gone and done it now, signing up with that LIV Golf thing. Heard some folks talking about it down at the general store the other day. They say it’s a big deal, this LIV Golf. Lots of money in it, I reckon. They’re paying those golfers a heap of cash, more than they ever got playing that other golf, the PGA thing.
Now, this Jason Dufner’s LIV contract, that’s what all the fuss is about. Nobody knows for sure how much money it is, but you can bet your bottom dollar it’s a pretty penny. Some say $44,778 a year, but it is way more than that, I guess. Enough to make a fella think twice about where he’s swinging his clubs. They say he’s worth a whole $14 million already. Can you imagine? That’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life!
This LIV Golf, it’s got those other golfers all riled up. They’re worried about losing their players, I guess. And this Dufner fella, he’s just one of many jumping ship. They say some fella named Jon Rahm, he’s thinking about it too. Heard they offered him a whole mountain of money, like 450 million for five years or something crazy like that. He is from Spain. I don’t know much about Spain, only know it is far away from here. They say that Dufner is from Cleveland. I only know it is a little far from here. But these places are all same to me, all far far away.
They have this thing called LIV Golf Promotions. It is like some sort of test, a big long game of golf to see who’s the best. Sounds tiring if you ask me. They got 93 fellas out there, all trying to win. Then they cut them down to just one. They play for three days, but four rounds. Lordy, that’s a lot of walking.
First day, they got 64 of them playing 18 holes. Then they whittle it down some more. By the last day, they got the best ones playing 36 holes. That’s a whole heap of golf. The top three, they get a prize. $200,000 for first place, $150,000 for second, and $100,000 for third. That’s a lot of money for hitting a little ball around.

I don’t know much about this Jason Dufner’s net worth, but it’s sure a lot. They said he won some tournaments and got money for just showing up at some places. He’s been playing since 2004, they say. That’s a long time. He even won some big one, some major thing. He is a big shot, I tell ya.
They got a whole list of how much money these fellas make playing for LIV Golf. It’s called the 2024 LIV Golf Final Money list, I think. You can look at it, but it might make your head spin. Lots of big numbers on there. This Dufner, he’s on that list now. And that Jon Rahm fella, he’s probably gonna be on there soon too.
This whole LIV Golf thing, it’s changing the game, they say. It is a big change, I tell ya. Those golfers, they’re making more money than they ever dreamed of.
