Alright, so the other day, I was just kinda scrolling around, you know how it is. Saw something about the NBA finals, and Jason Kidd’s name popped up. He’s coaching the Mavs now. And it just clicked in my head, like, wait, who is his wife these days? I honestly couldn’t place her face or name right away.

My first thought went way back, to all the stuff with his ex-wife, Joumana. Man, that was all over the news back then. So, my brain was stuck on that track for a second. Had to consciously shake that off and figure out the current situation.
Okay, Time to Look it Up
So, I did what anyone does, right? Grabbed my phone, opened up a browser. Didn’t get fancy, just typed in something simple like ‘jason kidd wife now’. Real basic stuff.
Pretty quickly, the name Porschla Coleman came up. Okay, Porschla Kidd now, obviously. I saw some pictures, and yeah, recognized her vaguely. Definitely not the same person I was thinking of initially. It’s funny how your memory plays tricks, holds onto the old stuff sometimes.
I spent a little bit just browsing through some images, maybe a short article or two that popped up. Nothing too deep, just satisfying that little bit of curiosity. It seems like they keep things much more private now, compared to way back when. You don’t hear nearly as much, which is probably a good thing for them, I guess. Just seems like a regular couple, doing their thing, aside from the whole famous basketball player/coach aspect.
Found out she was a model before. Makes sense. They seem to have a family, kids. Looked pretty standard, you know? Just a family picture here and there.
My Takeaway?
Honestly, not much profound came out of it. It was just one of those moments where a name triggers a question mark in your head. Took a few minutes, looked it up, got the answer. Confirmed that my memory wasn’t totally wrong about the past, but needed updating for the present. It’s just weird sometimes thinking about how public these people’s lives are, even the parts they try to keep low-key. Anyway, that was my little dive into that. Curiosity satisfied, moved on.
