Okay, so the other day, some kids asked me to play a game called “Sparkle.” I’m like, “Sparkle? What’s that?” Turns out it’s a simple little game, and you can change it up depending on what you wanna do.
First thing I did was find out what this game was all about. I mean, I’m not playing something if I don’t know the rules. It’s like showing up to a football game and thinking it’s baseball. Makes no sense.
So, I looked it up. Apparently, it’s a word game, or it can be a math game, or even a memory verse thing. It’s pretty flexible.
- Get everyone in a circle or a line.
- Pick a word, or a math problem, or whatever you’re gonna use.
Next, I had to try it out. I gathered some folks, and we stood in a circle. It felt kinda weird, like a group therapy session or something.
We went with a word to start. Let’s say the word is “example.” One person says “E,” the next says “X,” and so on, until you spell the whole thing. Then, the person after the last letter shouts “Sparkle!” If you mess up, you’re out. Simple, right?
We played a few rounds. It was actually kinda fun. A little bit of thinking, a little bit of yelling, a good time all around.
Then I tried to mix it up. We did some math problems. Like, “What’s 5 times 7?” First person says “5,” next says “times,” next says “7,” next says “equals,” and the next person has to say “35.” Then “Sparkle!” It gets tricky when you have longer problems, but that’s the fun part.
Finally, I thought, “Why not try memory verses?” Same idea. Pick a verse, and each person says a word. It’s a bit harder because verses can be long, but it’s a good way to remember stuff, you know?
So yeah, that’s how you play “Sparkle.” It’s a simple game, but you can do a lot with it. It’s like one of those things that’s easy to learn but hard to master. I might even use it in my class sometime. We’ll see.
I tried to look up other stuff like “baseball,” “basketball,” and things like that. But, to be honest, “Sparkle” is way more interesting right now. Those other things can wait. I mean, who needs football when you have a word game, right?
In conclusion
I found this game, figured out how it works, played it a few different ways, and now I’m sharing it with you. That’s how I roll. If I learn something new, I gotta tell people about it. It’s just how I am. I search it, I find it, I do it, and I share it. It’s the circle of life, or the circle of games, I guess.
