My Run with the Monopoly Go Eggcellent Event
Alright, so I saw this new “Eggcellent” event pop up in Monopoly Go the other day. Looked kinda like the usual partner events, you know, where you gotta collect stuff to build something together. This time, it was all about these little egg tokens scattered around the board.
I jumped right in, figuring I’d give it a shot. First thing was finding partners. Sent out invites to a few folks I usually team up with. Some joined quick, others took their sweet time, you know how it is. Once we had the teams set, it was time to start collecting those eggs.
Rolling the dice, hoping to land on those specific tiles. It felt like the usual drill. Sometimes you hit a streak and grab a bunch of eggs, other times you just roll right past them, burning through dice. I started using multipliers, like x10 or x20, when I felt lucky or saw a good cluster of egg tiles coming up. Risky stuff, man. Sometimes it paid off big, getting hundreds of eggs in one go. Other times, total bust, landed right in Jail or just missed everything. Wasted a good chunk of dice that way a few times.
Building the Goodies
Once you collect enough eggs, you go to the event screen and spin a wheel with your partner to add points to whatever cake or structure you’re building. This part depends a lot on your partner too.
- Had one partner who was awesome, putting in tons of points right away. We blasted through the first few levels of our shared thingy pretty fast.
- Another partner? Barely contributed. It was like pulling teeth. I ended up carrying most of the weight for that one, which was kinda annoying. Had to burn way more of my own dice and eggs.
- The spinning itself was pure luck. Sometimes you hit the big point slices, sometimes you get the small ones over and over.
It was a real grind, honestly. You need thousands and thousands of points to complete each of those four partner things. I spent a good few days just focused on hitting those egg tiles, participating in the side tournaments to get more dice, and trying to coordinate spins with my active partners.
Did I Make It?
Yeah, eventually. Managed to complete all four partnerships. It took a lot of dice, probably more than I got back from the event itself, if I’m being honest. But I was aiming for that big final prize – usually a chunk of dice, some cash, and a special token or shield.
Got the final reward, which was nice. Got a bunch of dice back, a good pile of in-game money, and that new shiny token they promised. Was it totally worth the time and dice spent? Eh, debatable. These events are mostly just a way to keep you playing, keep you rolling. It was fun in moments, frustrating in others. Pretty standard Monopoly Go experience, I guess.
So yeah, that was my little adventure with the Eggcellent event. Done and dusted. Now waiting to see what grind they throw at us next week!
