Alright, so yesterday, I was trying to fill out this crossword, and one of the clues was about a hip-hop genre. I spent a lot of time thinking about it, and I was like, “Man, I gotta document this.”
First, I started by searching for some articles online, you know, just to get some inspiration. I typed in “hip-hop genre crossword” into Google, and a bunch of stuff came up.
Here’s what I found:
- One result was from September 5, 2021. It had the answer for a hip-hop subgenre clue in a New York Times crossword. There were two answers in total. I read through the whole thing, but it was pretty confusing.
- Another was a whole crossword about hip-hop. It had these colored squares that were names of rappers. I gave it a go, but I didn’t do so great.
- There were also some sites that listed crossword clues and answers. One of them had a clue for a hip-hop genre, and it was 3 letters long. The site claimed to have clues from the Daily Celebrity, NY Times, and Daily Mirror.
- Then there was another site that said they had one possible solution for the same clue, “Hip-hop genre.” It mentioned that it was last seen in the LA Times Crossword on March 30, 2023. I checked it out, but it didn’t really help me much.
- Another result said they had 40 possible answers for the clue! 40! Can you believe it? I didn’t go through all of them, that’s way too many.
- Then there was a crossword solver that claimed to have 10 results for the clue. I took a peek, but nothing really stood out to me.
- I also found this site that was supposed to help you find answers to crossword clues. I tried it, but it didn’t really work for me.
- Finally, there was another site that claimed to have all the answers for the “Hip-hop subgenre” clue, and it was all about solving crosswords. But it was just a bunch of tags and stuff.
After all that searching, I still didn’t have a definite answer. But it got me thinking about all the different hip-hop subgenres out there. There’s trap, drill, boom bap, and so many more. It’s pretty cool how diverse the genre is.
So, I decided to make my own list of hip-hop subgenres that could fit in a crossword. I started with the 3-letter ones, like “rap” and “pop.” Then I moved on to longer ones, like “crunk” and “bounce.”
I kept going until I had a pretty decent list. It wasn’t easy, but it was fun. And you know what? I think I actually learned a lot about hip-hop in the process.
In the end, I may not have solved that one crossword clue, but I did end up with a cool list of hip-hop subgenres. And I got to share my whole adventure with you guys. So, I guess it all worked out in the end, right? Hope you find my little journey helpful, or at least a bit entertaining. Catch you all later!
