Okay, so I’ve been messing around with my putting lately, and I decided to give the Ghost Spider putter a try. I’d heard some good things, and honestly, I was just curious.

Getting Started
First thing I did was grab the putter. I went to a local golf shop. They had a few different models, but I went for the standard one, nothing too fancy.
The Feel
The first impression? It’s heavier than my old putter. That’s not a bad thing, just different. It felt pretty solid in my hands, and the grip was nice and tacky.
Practice Swings
- I took a few practice swings on the shop’s little putting green.
- I wanted to test alignment, so I lined up a few three-footers.
- I swung the Ghost Spider putter for a few practice swings.
Hitting Some Putts
Time to actually hit some balls. I started with some short putts, maybe 3-4 feet. The weight definitely helped me keep the putter head steady. I felt like I had more control, especially on those little tap-ins that I sometimes yip.
Then I moved back to about 10 feet. This is where I really wanted to see a difference. My longer putts have been all over the place lately. The Ghost Spider’s alignment aids, those lines on the top, they actually seemed to help. I focused on keeping the putter face square, and I was surprised how many I sank.
Playing a Round
I was feeling pretty good, so the next day I took it out on the course. First hole, I had a tricky downhill 8-footer. Normally, I’d be sweating bullets. But I took my time, lined it up, and drained it! It felt great.
I will to keep practicing and see how I perform long term with the Ghost Spider Putter.
I finished the round with a decent score, and my putting was definitely better than usual. A couple of those longer putts that I would normally miss, they dropped in. That’s a big confidence booster.
Overall Thoughts
So, after giving it a good try, I’m pretty happy with the Ghost Spider. It’s not a miracle worker, but it definitely helped me improve my consistency, especially on those mid-range putts. I’m going to keep using it and see if it keeps giving me that extra edge.
