Okay, so I wanted to get into watching more women’s college basketball, and UNCG (that’s the University of North Carolina Greensboro, for those not in the know) seemed like a good place to start. I’m trying to support more local teams, you know?

First thing I did was look up their schedule. I just did a quick search, nothing fancy. I wanted to see when their next home game was. Gotta see them play live, right?
Finding the Game
- Searched for “UNCG women’s basketball schedule”.
- Found the schedule on their official website. Super easy.
- Checked for the next home game. Bingo! There was one coming up soon.
Next, I figured out where they play. Turns out, it’s at the Greensboro Coliseum. That’s cool. Big place, should be a good atmosphere. I’ve driven past it a bunch of times.
I went on google map,and get their location and direction.I can easily find how to get there, and the time needed to get there.
Getting Ready for the Game
Before the game, I watched a couple of highlight reels on YouTube. Just to get a feel for the team, you know? See who the star players are, that kind of thing. They’ve got some pretty good shooters!
Then, game day! I made sure to wear blue and gold, UNCG’s colors. Gotta show some team spirit! Drove over to the Coliseum, parked, and… enjoyed the game! It was a close one, lots of back and forth. Really exciting.
I tried to pay attention to the different players and their styles. See if I could pick up on any strategies. Still learning, but it’s fun!
So, yeah, that’s my UNCG women’s basketball experience so far. I’m planning on going to more games. It’s a fun, affordable way to spend an evening, and I’m enjoying getting into a new sport.
